All right, a new thread for anything related to translations. Think of it as a sort-of cleanup for the Progress Report Page.
This is mostly a thread for translators to post finished translations/links to MH, work out kanji problems and just generally help one another. Also, if anyone is considering applying as a translator, you can ask any questions you have here.

Where is that kanji word processor you mentioned in your e-mail reply?

Thank you for signing in so quickly~ Here is the WP: www.njstar.com/cms/njstar-japanese-word-processor-downloadOf course, it's a "free trial" where the dictionary and radical lookup tools lock up after a while, though it can be remedied by ignoring the popup upon opening the program and reinstalling after it has expired.

. . . Translation thread? XDDD *confused* So . . . like . . . when we have a new translation done for you, we post the link to the translation (or the whole translation) here . . . and . . . *confused even more* . . . *lost* . . . I'M SORRY, MIKEN~~~!! My brain isn't working properly right now . . . I'm so lost . . . >_<" . . . Kanji word processor?? *don't know what that is*

It's basically just a normal japanese word processor, but it has an english interface -- so it's good for looking up kanji and definitions.
Yep -- just post new translations here. Also, since Kirvee stated that she isn't so fluent with kanji, she can ask you openly for help here. (If you don't mind) ^-^""

Basically a program you use to type up documents -- like Microsoft Word.

Yeah, I can read hiragana and katakana and recognize a few kanji, but I won't know how to say certain ones if they appear in a different context and most of em I still don't know.

@miken: . . . Why do I have to be so dumb . . . ?!! D: *headdesk really hard* I'm sorry for asking stupid question, Miken . . . T^T Kirvee: Ah! OK XDDD *shot'd* Sorry, usually I failed at thinking of how I should respond sometimes . . . but I don't want to just post to headdesk really, really hard for not knowing what word processor is as well. It just made me feel weird if I do so . . . Kanjis aren't that hard~ XD I don't know anything I can respond other than that. (I love kanjis for some reasons. I found most of them beautiful and not to mention it save my character counting spaces when I wrote my Japanese essay . . . X3 ) but, yeah, as Miken said, if you have any questions, I will try to help. (Knowing that my English still failed me and it's not like my Japanese is perfect or anything . . . I don't know my own level since I never take the language test, but . . . T^T ) EDIT: Oh! BTW, Miken, thanks for the lovely EPISODE 00 scanlation~~!! I love your colored Jade with ponytail so much~~!! Totally made my day~~ XDD

If there are some kanji you don't know, I can try to help too -- I know simplified Chinese and know my way around the radical lookup well enough. ^-^""
@ju-da-su: I'm glad you loved the chapter and the coloring~ It took a long time, but it was totally worth it.

Thank you. I just recently got around to organizing the pages into seperate folders (makes it easier for me), but there was a death in my family this past weekend and I'm really busy with Christmas coming up. I'm gonna try and start soon though, I promise.
You probably only say that Kanji is easy because you may've had formal teaching. I've been self-teaching myself and believe me, all the books in the foreign language sections couldn't make Kanji any less of a pain to learn. At most, I only end up remembering 1 or 2 readings for any specific kanji but can not make a compound to save my life. The only compounds I can recognize are when it involves the number-kanji (ex. kyu-ju-go).
My kanji skillz fail in comparison to my hiragana and katakana, XD.

Kirvee: It's very understandable, there's no rush...at least until after Christmas to mid-January. @ju-da-su: I have nothing better to do, so I'm going to redo Asch and Ion Gaiden, do you have the files for that? I can't find them on Mangahelpers. If you don't, it's fine -- I'll just pull the translation from the old finished files. ^-^""

Kirvee: Not really . . . I think kanji are fun to learn about. I mean, I like its unique characters (that's why I also like Mandarin, but can't take it anymore . . . my time table is stupid . . . ) I learn most of them before my teachers teach them to me, so . . . Good luck anyway~ XD BTW, am curious, but which manga(s) are you translating? :3 @miken: MH is down . . . *shot'd* I . . . think I do, though, if you mean the translation, but . . . if you're going to pull it from the old one, can you change something a bit in Ion Gaiden? I made a really silly mistake because my Japanese isn't that good back when I translate Ion Gaiden yet . . . "Cute" that Ion said about Arietta in the end . . . can you change that to "pitiful"? There's no kanji there, so I thought it was like . . . GAAH!! STUPID ME!!! *headdesk* Miken, are we having a Christmas or New Year release? :3 *excited* *shot'd again* Sorry . . . >_<" Anyway, since MH is down (at the worst time ever . . . just when I thought I have my lovely internet back . . . ) and don't want to pull back . . . spoiler tags then . . . and update to MH later . . . I actually intend to make these two as part of my big Christmas batch, but . . . since you say you have nothing to do . . . >D Thank you for reading . . . And . . . I don't have the RAW for ch.16 of TotA now . . . XP And . . . Miken, ToI will no longer be updated on JSQ Homepage, from what I read from the end note of this chapter. Chapter 12 onwards will be in ToI vol.3, which is out about two weeks ago. I'm not going to debind any of my tankoubon, so even if I did plan on getting it, do you have someone who might be able to scan the RAW from the tankoubon for us? (Am not sure if Rena wants to continue with it . . . I know that it's my fault for not adding the SFX in still. Got to lazy after a while as well . . . >_<" ) *shot'd*

We're having some sort of a Christmas release...I'm not sure if it'll be on time though. XD;;
I'll PM you the raws for 16+ in a moment. ^-^"" Btw -- do you still have the raw files for Ion gaiden? I was pretty sure the links at Aefallen would still be up, but all three are down. DX
As for ToI I'm pretty sure Nagi is buying the tankouban...

It's up to you if you want to wait for the tanko re-release to do Ch 12, or find another raw source and finish it up first. Don't have time to scan the tankos right now >__<
Also, Vol 3 is the last volume for ToI so I'm guessing Ch 12 is probably the last chapter that's why it's no longer going to be updated on the ToI website. I just checked Kino's database and the Vol 3 tanko is going to be in this week so I'll know then.
