Link's Awakening is decent, but I think my opinion of it got shafted a little by the fact that I played the Oracle games years before LA. Compared to the Oracle games, LA seemed a little empty and not as filled out. But then again, the Oracle games are my favorite Zelda games overall. I feel like those guys get the real shaft of the Zelda series. I've met very few people who actually like them Honestly, playing the Oracle games, I always felt like there was something wrong with them. They're both great, but they don't feel as... together as Awakening. It was probably because of Capcom handling the games instead of Nintendo. They have a different design philosophy, so they felt different.

Erm....Wild Arms 3....I didn't complete it because well, to be honest, I wasn't having much fun with it and couldn't get used to the dialogue and Virginia's character. Maybe if I had played it all the way through, I would have saw more development and liked her but I didn't...I sold it back to the shop. And yes, I do think that FF7 is overrated. It's not my fav. out of the Final Fantasy series and it honestly just feels like it's so good and popular because Aeris gets killed/dies. It does have it's fun/funny moments though!

Pokemon Platinum and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky
Platinum because, while it had a bunch of new features, it actually seemed pretty boring... The battle Frontier facility leaders were all strange, the distortion world was just annoying, and Skymin wasn't all that great. I guess it's because I played through diamond and pearl twice, but meh, it wasn't that exciting. Oh, and the guide sucked. They shouldn't leave out images on a map *cough*rarecandy*cough*
EoS because it was literally Time and Darkness all over again. Not beyond Time and Darkness. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seemed like they both used the SAME EXACT script for it. So we get like, 2 or 3 new pokemon, a few new dungeons, and a useless cafe and a few minor things... I love pokemon and all, but i wish i hadn't got this. Next time I'll read up more on upcoming releases. *sigh*

They're minor upgrades to previously-released Pokemon games. They've been doing this since Crystal.

Which is why I never get the first Pokemon games in a new generation anymore. Unless it's a remake generation.

Yellow, in my opinion, had more additional features than the other games, but that's just me.

They have a different design philosophy, so they felt different. I feel sort of the same way about these games. I didn't look at the Oracle games as a sequel to Awakening (or, rather, didn't look for them to be like Awakening.) I didn't know Capcom handled those two until I booted it up for the first time. For that reason, I like Awakening and Oracle games for different reasons. I liked Awakening for dialogue, characterization (felt like there was more life in characters in this one), music, and... Stealing. Oh, and bomb arrows! Bomb arrows!... For that last reason, the Oracle games fall into this for me. I was disappointed by the lack of bomb arrows. I hope a newer Zelda game includes this again... I can't really think about any games that I ever picked up that were overhyped and I disliked. Though, that's probably because I haven't bought a game in a long while...

I felt the opposite. Awakening's characters felt rather wooden and far less dynamic. Oracle games' characters just felt more lifelike and interesting.

Gilliam, I don't know if you've heard, but there's bomb arrows in Twilight Princess.

... What, really? That's the one I didn't play. The last one I played was Phantom Hourglass... I don't think I've bought a Zelda game since Minish Cap (I borrowed Phantom Hourglass off of a friend.)
Well, I guess I'll look into getting the Gamecube version of the game sometime.
