Happy: I've acquired a DVD copy of Les Miserables. I've been waiting months for this since I've seen it in theatres. Sad: Preparing myself to cry while watching it later

Happy: I sent out 5 resumes a few days ago to a couple companies and already got asked to come in for a interview at a firm that makes a popular shopping (coupons and special offers, to be specific) iOS app.
Panicked: I didn't really read the job description as closely as I should've. It's marketing, sure, but I'd have to manage their Pinterest, Tumblr, and Twitter accounts and write blog posts... about fashion. Err. My idea of "fashion" is limited to jeans and hoodies.
I really hope the posts are limited to just promoting offers and not actually finding new trendy stuff... Oh, well. Maybe I can be OK at fashion marketing even though I don't care about fashion. You never know!
Or maybe I'll bomb the interview and it won't matter anyway.

Happy: I thought this 2000 word essay was due today, only to discover it was due the day after tomorrow! I also got through poetry night in this coffee shop with no problem (as required for english 102 class), although my throaty delivery might have been hard to understand.
Annoyed: I caught a bad cold in the last couple of days of spring break, and although I'm way better now than yesterday, I hate how I had to go out frequently form class to blow my nose in the bathroom. ANd this sore throat.

^I feel for you. My Grandmother died a few years ago and even though we weren't close, my dad was and he took it pretty hard, especially since the way she died was from deteriorating health and her mind slowly went so she began to forgot about him before she died. Definitely a terrible way to loose a loved one.

That's terrible. I lost two grandmothers these past 5 years, and I wasn't close to either of them. My dad's mother was literally laying on her death bed while the entire family on my dad's side tried to keep her alive over Skype, of all things. After a couple of hours, we weren't successful. I think the best we can do in these situations is to support our parents completely through these tough times. Condolences to both your families. Happy: I watched The Office series finale last night. Sad: I watched The Office series finale last night. T_T

Happy: My friend, who was studying abroad in Prague this semester, is returning this week And three out of the four professors I had this semester emailed me out of the blue at the end of the semester complimenting me on my class performance. I can roll with that. Sad: did a great job of f**king up my sleep schedule last night by accidentally falling asleep at 7 and waking up at 3. Now I'll be a zombie by afternoon today. Sob. I also slept through my usual gym visit, messing up my routine, gah.

Happy: My boss scored a meeting with RetailMeNot.com about an acquisition of our start-up next week... really, really happy for our company (and not just because I'll still have a job if they buy us out, haha!). It'd have been a shame had the app gone to waste... it definitely has potential. The hard part of making any app successful is getting the word out there, and that's pretty hard to do without money :'D
Sad: The eternal battle with the bathroom scale, food, and the gym never ends.

Happy: Got the computer to myself for once, and it's not early morning or ridiculously late at night.
Sad: It turns out that the Sign Spinner job I've been looking at recently was not for me. I made that decision, after seeing how insane spinning really is via watching videos on Youtube and the on the website for the job I was applying for. I did not notice beforehand that there is a clear difference between spinning a sign and simply holding once. And I would prefer the latter.

Happy: I really enjoy all of my classes so far. I'm feeling really hopeful I'll learn a lot and get a good challenge from all of them, which has not always been the case in previous semesters. (On the down side, the more marketing classes I take, the sorrier I am that I ever majored in psychology. Marketing is like psychology, except... you know, useful. And you can get a job! A good paying one!)
Sad: New York Fashion Week is this week. It makes me sick to my stomach to see photos of the models. I wish the fashion industry would do the right thing and set a weight minimum :/

Happy: Day after day volunteering for this Japanese student exchange program is really fun and is helping both my language skills and my teaching ability grow. A job as an English teacher in Japan doesn't seem too far-off and absurd now.
Sad: Regretting not having chosen to continue my education immediately as I see so many people starting school around this time. My reason for not continuing immediately was due to both my financial problems and indecisiveness in regard to field of study. Maybe it's time I pay a trip to the career counselor, as an alumnum.

Happy: I have an interview with a major firm in an hour.
Anxious as hell: I have an interview with a major firm in an hour.
It's with the VP of Human Resources. On one hand, if she likes me, then that's an even bigger boon for my candidacy than the opinion of some random HR grunt, but on the other hand, the thought of being interviewed by the VP of a 35,000+ employee international company is intimidating as hell.
Really, really, really hope I don't f**k this up.
