I pose a question to all of you who've got your hands on a copy of Tales of VS.: How is it?
Is the Yggdrasil story mode interesting? Is it easy? Is it hard? What's it like playing as characters from the older Tales games that used different battle systems? Does Mint really suck?
Tell me~ please~

Pretty meh, the Yggdrasil mode is ok and kinda fun, and Mint has no purpose.
ToWB is pretty fun.

Are the characters balanced yet varied enough? That's been my biggest fear...

Ahahahah no, no by I mean Mint fails in battle. Everyone else is ok. Colette and Farah are really broken.

^^^ How so? I mean I use Farah and I agree on that but Colette?XD
Mmm, the game is addicting and time consuming so far. I like it I guess...no complaints though it's a tales game...I can't turn it away.
It all depends on the skills and items how you upgrade them and such too....Right now my Farah has like B and My Cless is a C+ and he's still stronger than Farah and Colette. =/ So I don't know about that.

Having heard that, I'd get it if the price dropped, but I hear that in Japan prices don't usually ever go down. Depends on the popularity of the game genre. Most likely the Tales series won't go down as will most other anime related games (Hakuto no Ken for example is around 4800 Yen still and that is for PS2). Also really good Arcade games are a struggle for price like Taiko and Street Fighter.

So Farah's underpowered and Colette's overpowered? That's odd because Farah's pretty damn strong in Eternia. And I'm honestly surprised Colette wasn't nerfed. In Symphonia, everyone knew you could spam Torrential/Para Ball and own EVERYTHING.
Is Judith still good? She looks like boat loads of fun.

Colette and Farah are really broken. Well of course Farah's broken. She's fighting for all of Tales of Eternia.

She's fighting for all of Tales of Eternia. thus putting more pressure on the poor girl XP as for what Sok said about mint failing in battles.....pffft...no surprise. She's more of a support character than an actual fighter. I heard TOWB is loads of fun.[plus a few of u here are saying it also :P] I hope it gets localized -____-;;;

Farah's really good because she can combo after Sanka Moushuukyaku which is so amazing and makes me so happy. I don't know why else she'd be broken though.
Honestly, I think Tales of Wallbreaker is a more in depth and polished fighter than the actual game.

Colette is cheap -again-. Just spam Ray Thrust-Ray Shireze (or was it Steer Funnel?) and you pwn everyone without getting hurt.

Nah, you just need to hit someone once with Ray Thrust and go into Para Ball or Torrential Para Ball and then they're done. The game is a lot more fair with teams, which is the way I assume Namco wants you to play it with the mages and healers being in the game.
