I would say not good? I mean, it's not like the localization team wants to incur any more costs than it has to. Since the localizations never eke out much of a profit (if any), it doesn't really make any sense to add on the additional cost of fixing kinks.

well who knows, given another 10 years or so, if Tales of picks up some popularity in the west, you could always get a remake during an anniversary event or something.

Eh, that's disappointing (not the anniversary-remake thing). Well, I'm all out of ideas. Good thing hope was in Pandora's Box...*goes and hacks Wii*

E3 is our only hope. If they don't announce the localizations there, i will stop hoping for Graces or any other Tales games localizations.

Yep. One wonders if Vesperia and Ratatosk were both failures to them.

What made Vesperia such a failure? Were the numbers lower, because the fanbase surely didn't seem to think so.
But yes, as much as it kills me to admit, the lack of E3 coverage did away with any hope. There's always next year or the year after, but that's unlikely.
At least there'll be game scripts online.

Well, maybe it's been that Namco sets a goal, based on how much it took to localize. Vesperia, at least, may have taken a lot, so they needed to sell a certain amount of games to break even. It might be they did not meet that number, and lost money. Possibly Ratatosk also did not gain much profit, and neither did they on previous games. Therefore, Namco may have concluded that the Tales series is not profitable, and will not release new games until one comes along that seems like it might make a profit. It might be they've been riding on Symphonia's profits this whole time, and decided it was not worth the risk anymore.
Or, the games are still profitable, and are either still discussing Graces, or decided it would not meet a profit.
