Hey guys~ Been a while~
Just passing by to say that the Tales of Graces Demo is out~
I'm playing it right now and wanted to let you know some stuff as I play. For now i'll talk about the weapons which enable the party to improve their Accel Mode. Each one is found in the forest you go into at first, and each one is named and designed after the game they were inspired from.
Asbel's Radiant Howl (Tales of the Abyss)
A shiny sword with a cross of light as a hilt. Basically, a sword of pure light.
Sophie's Seraphic Hearts (Tales of Hearts)
A pair of gloves which looks is made of the head of the whale thing in Tales of Hearts with spirune attached around it's ends. It looks like it's made of Spirune. XD
Hubert's Brave Vesperia (Tales of Vesperia)
It looks like Yuri's giant sword. only in smaller form. It's a big white glowing feather.
Cheria's Eternal Scar (Tales of Phantasia?)
It looks like the Eternal Sword... only... in pink.
Malik's Tempest Bringer (Tales of Tempest)
It's a burning boomerang, in the shape of the flames in Tales of Tempest's logo.
Pascal's Fandom Rite/Light (Tales of Fandom)
It's a rod with winds and a floating star at it's tip. Its sparkles in a very Pascal way...
Richard's Symphonia Tact (Tales of Symphonia)
It looks like a combination of a giant g-clef, a conductor's baton, and a laser clef at the end.
pretty awesome. Anyway, i'll update more here if i find out anything else. It's pretty smooth, and i'm getting used to the battles. ...you'll be glad to know that the monsters respawn in the demo.
NEW SKILLS:
Sophie has the new skill [Flash Rose]. correct me if i'm wrong, but it looks new to me. She makes an energy outline of a star and it explodes into petals. She even poses the same as Richard in his Vertex Rose BC. leaf, physical, poison-type attack.
Malik has the skill [Abureido Barou/Abreid Barrow], which summons a large glyph from bellow with three magic circles of blue, green, and red which fire several same-colored beams in the sky, and land on everyone in the glyph. It's poison, ice, and fire-type attack.
Richard now has the spells [Lightning Blaster], [Ignite Prison], and [Holy Lance].
Cheria now has the spell [Indignation].

Help With Controls
For those who have no idea how to play it~ I'll help you out The second option at the title screen actually lists them all down, but not everyone understands Japanese.
On The Field:
Directional Buttons - nothing
Left-Analog - Move character
Right-Analog - Nothing
[Select] - Activate a skit
[Start] - Pause the Game
[Triangle] - Open Menu
[Square] - None
[Circle] - Confirm/Interact
[Cross/X] - Cancel
[L1] - Next Objective
[L2] - Nothing
[R1] - Nothing
[R2] - Nothing
In-Battle:
Directional Buttons - Change controlled character
> UP = 1st Character (based on main menu)
> LEFT = 2nd Character
> RIGHT = 3rd Character
> DOWN = 4th Character
Left-Analog - Move character
Right-Analog - Nothing
[Select] - Change control between Semi-Auto and Auto
[Start] - Pause the Game
[Triangle] - Open Battle Menu
> UP = Artes
> LEFT = Strategy
> RIGHT = Change Equipment
> DOWN = Use Item
[Square] - Guard
> Left/Right Toggle of Analog-stick + Guard = Around Step. You gain CC when you use Around Step right before an attack hits and it misses you.
[Circle] - Attack
> Continue pressing the Attack button to enable the A-button artes (as they were known in the Wii). Basically, it goes this way.
Attack -> First Arte (1 CC) -> Second Level Arte [depending on direction held on left-anaolg + attack button] (consumes 2 CC) -> Third Level Arte [depends on direction + attack] (3 CC) -> Fourth Level Arte [depends on direction + attack] (4CC).
you have to keep pressing it so as not to break the evolution of the artes being used. Else, it'll start somewhere else. You can also change the direction of the left-analog during the combo to use different combination of artes.
Example for Asbel:
Attack -> Shundotsu (1CC) -> (NONE) Setsuga (2CC) -> (HOLD UP) Resshin Kohou (3CC) -> (HOLD LEFT) Shisou Tengen (4CC)
[Cross/X] - Use Artes. You can set them and use them the same way as other Tales games. It's hard to fit into a combo though.
[L1] - Use Blast Calibur (only in your Arles Rise mode)
[L2] - Nothing
[R1] - Change Targets
[R2] - Activate Accel mode (only Asbel is allowed to do this in the demo)
BATTLE TIPS:
> You can use Asbel's Secret Blast Calibur only if you activate Accel Mode at MAX during Arles Rise. Then just use a Blast Calibur as usual. That will replace it.
> ASBEL - He's not that hard to use. He's quick. I highly suggest keeping to his LEFT or RIGHT A-button combo string. As it keeps the monsters at bay.
> SOPHIE - Her A-combos are deadly, and can pack quite a punch. For escape purposes, her [Catastrophe] skill is pretty good to avoid incoming spells and damaging the enemy.
> CHERIA - Keep her away from enemies. IF need be, attack using her Right A-combo which has [Harvest], [Thunderbolt], and [Freeze Rain]. They're pretty good AoE. For spells, her [Flash Tear] and [Divine Saber] are good. But if you can help it, use [Indignation]. It looks flashy.
> MALIK - His a wizard first and foremost. Keep him as far away as possible. For physical attacks, his default A-combo is good enough. For spells, try out his new [Abreid Barrow] spell. It has a large area, but takes long to cast. If not, go with his [Rock Lance] for interruptions.
> HUBERT - He's pretty fast. I usually just use his RIGHT A-combo for large area attacks. Then follow up with his B-skills (artes), which are gun-based. Pretty Quick too.
> PASCAL - She has to be close to use her skills effectively, and thus you need to be careful not to get interrupted. You can use the skill [Trinity Bit] (it's default in the demo at here Right Analog (Right)) to keep her protected. Or use fast spells like [Heat Red] or [Maelstrom].
> RICHARD - he's pretty much better than his Wii counterpart. With new spells. [Holy Lance] looks flashy. Try it out~ His attacks are good against single targets, with the exception of his Lv4 DOWN attack, and his Level 2 RIGHT attack which covers an area. For quick spells, go with [Avenger Bite].
