Well, It was better that I could actually understand it in English, rather than in Japanese. But overall, even if I didn't really understand, I like the whole story. However, the only character I really hate is Cheria. No, Loathe is a better word. I, actually, liked Emeraude, even after she betrayed Asbel and the party. Battle System: Good, but I kind of didn't like the idea of using Free Run for CC. and the A and B artes suck. I think it would be better if X was still the normal hit button, and O all artes. It was good about not having to spam orange gels, but that's all.

I have been watching playthrough videos lately, looks like a pretty good game. I dont have as PS3, or I will end up getting one I think.

I ended up absolutely loving Graces f -- for a while I've been having some kind of awkward Tales slump but now I'm more than thoroughly reinvigorated. It pretty much immediately jumped to my second favorite Tales game (first being Hearts and third being Legendia because I'm weird). Also -- I've found through the years that I like the battle systems a lot more if they ditch TP for an alternative. Around-Step and CC made the system a lot more fun than the previous systems touting free run as their main gimmick.
The story, while less grand than a number of entries in the series, was just about as world-encompassing as it needed to be while still making the focus "Going to whatever ends to save your friends/keep your friends safe".
I guess the only issue I ended up having was with Cheria? It's more of a personality clash thing so I'd definitely hesitate if asked if I thought she was a bad character -- I recognize that feminine girls exist but I guess my suspension of disbelief died when I realized that after waiting 7 years for her crush to just show up again, she dropped any issue she really had with him despite being hostile at first and her entire character became "team mom". Her insecurities were kinda singled down to "I'm not sure if Asbel likes me back!" instead of what I thought would have been a more fitting wariness to completely rely on him to always be there. I guess my point is that I can't connect to female characters written to be pretty much just an extension of their love interest.
Despite that little hiccup, I ended up loving pretty much every other character there though and the emotional roller coaster of complete hilarity and heartfelt/sad moments was thoroughly enjoyable.

I'm seeing more hate for Cheria than ever before. Or, annoyance with her character.

I cry for my darling Cheria. Suuure her relationship with Asbel was... oddly done(sometimes it just seems like comic relief in many skits which honestly turned me off the pairing), I think she is a very strong and sensitive character, and very pretty, y'know?
Anyway, I'm glad to see such a positive reception to Graces! I liked it a lot too, but I felt the plot wasn't as epic as it could have been, but who cares, it's tons of fun!

Nah, I think Cheria was a fine character. She just didn't stand out as much as the rest of the cast in cut-scenes or skits. And I think her relationship with Asbel was done alright.

It seemed really short to me, so I was disappointed about that. If I had to rank it with the others I've played, it'd probably be in last place, right behind Vesperia, but I still loved the heck out of it and am on my second play through now. <3

I like it. Sometimes I still have problems with dodging and A arte trees, but that's my own problem with coordination.
I was sad that Cheria pretty much devolved into everyone's butt monkey.

I really enjoyed Graces; I'm on my 2nd playthrough now, and haven't looked back yet. Cheria's probably my least favorite character in Graces, for reasons mentioned by miken-chan, but I don't hate her with a fiery passion as I do Marta. I really love the battle system; it's so flashy, and I really enjoy leveling up the titles. I'm playing on Evil mode right now, but it doesn't really feel "evil" enough, if you know what I mean. The enemies seem a little bit tougher, but aren't as tough as I imagined they'd be. Pascal is basically made of awesomness. If there were a Tales of Pascal, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. EDIT: I just unlocked Chaos mode. Now that's more like it! I'm a little bit wary about fighting regular enemies now.
