news.yahoo.com/human-robot-relations-why-worry-161356408.htmlAlright, I'm calling BS on this one. I don't know about any of you guys, but while I was a little sad when my Tamagotchi decided to return to outer space after being neglected under the couch cushions for three months, the sadness only lasted for maybe about two minutes before I went on with my life and never thought about my electronic pet again. My cats have always been infinitely more interesting than a couple of little pixels. I kinda stopped caring about my Tamagotchis because they died a lot. Which kinda contradicts what this article says about prefering them over real pets, because they kinda die too.

gma.yahoo.com/candymakers-try-lighten-things-054247062--abc-news-wellness.htmlGoing after candy makers in the fight against obesity? Cut me a break. People should have the right to eat themselves to death if they so choose. Besides, a huge portion of why people are overweight nowadays is because of completely distorted portion sizes, not necessarily because of candy. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing--3,000 calories of a healthy diet is still going to make a lot of people fat. ...I just realized, I have a tendency to go through temporary obsessions I rant about, don't I. The Romans and Latin, linguistics, autism, economics, Greece's economic situation, politics, anti-vaccine conspiracy theorists, now nutrition and obesity.

it's really strange things like this happen in a country like America.... America is not a country. Regarding the article, did it not occur to her to sit down to pee? It's not that hard, and she might as well do the transgendering all the way.

I think he meant that America isn't the name of a country, not that it's morally deficient in some way (although you could certainly argue that).
On the "US, not America" thing, I often find it's ironically non-Americans (usually Europeans) who routinely refer to the US as America. Americans usually refer to the country as the US, unless they're 1) a politician, or 2) trying to sound patriotic.

I'm going to spam this thread news.yahoo.com/nintendo-executive-claims-digital-sales-soaring-023023664.htmlOut of curiosity, how many of you do digital downloads? I prefer having physical copies of my game--it just feels more satisfying, and I also feel like I own the game more--so I haven't sprung for any digital copies of games at all. I doubt I'll make the switch until I'm forced to. I don't even care if they charge me more for a physical copy; I'll still buy it.

I do digital downloads a lot. PC first, naturally, but the PSP showed me the wonders of having a dozen games on one system at any one time.
Also, I've used digital downloads a couple times to get titles I had trouble getting physical copies of (Like ZHP or FE:A). Games I really, reaaaally want, though, I try to get physical copies of.
