Anyone play or watch sports?
It was my dad's goal to have athletic children, and all three of us failed him miserably. At different points in my life, I've had a go at soccer, golf, swimming, fencing, horseback riding, and skiing. I was horrible at all of them, except for skiing. I also hated all of them (well, fencing was okay).
Recently, though, I've gotten into running! Competitive sports just make me feel bad about myself, but running's great because I can compete with myself instead.
I don't like watching sports. The only sports I kind of understand the rules to are baseball and golf, but I don't really understand why anyone would want to watch golf.

I... Tried getting into sports. I really did but I just didn't see the appeal of sports like soccer or basketball. I always did question why people got so worked up over it but then people must feel the same way when I get hyped up over Blazblue tournaments. [spoilers] [/spoilers]

I love combat sports in general, and if I ever catch a karate, taekwondo, judo, sumo, boxing, wrestling, jiujitsu, etc. tournament on TV, I always tune in to it. The only sport I really follow closely is MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Although I haven't been as up to date to MMA as I used to, there are always a bunch of people online and offline who asks for my opinion on certain matchups, as well as general MMA questions. I'm not as big with other sports, although if I see them on TV and it seems exciting, I wouldn't mind watching a highly competitive tennis match, basketball game, futbol, etc. I certainly wouldn't mind watching old-school exciting NBA plays during the 80s and 90s. I also enjoy all that gymnastic and beach volleyball coverage in the Olympics ;D As for what I used to practice, I love practicing any combat sport in general. I trained in taekwondo, karate, boxing and jiujitsu, and although I'm not absolutely good at just one, I wouldn't mind jumping in for a sparring match or to roll, even if it's in a combat sport I never tried before. Like trying to do judo against someone who trains judo, or trying to outbox this retired state boxing champ, who is CERTAINLY holding back. Last time I sparred, I recall clearly on two opportunities where he could have knocked me out if it were a real boxing match and not a light spar.

I did Tae Kwon Do for ten years, did track/across country back in grade school (I enjoy running), and I had joined the softball team back in High School (there was no baseball team for girls so I had to join softball instead). I'm interested in martial arts in general. I also did gymnastics as a kid but that was very short lived.
