I feel like I have committed a grievous sin for forgetting to mention the Katamari games. I freaking love the music in that series. Xenoblade Chronicles has an amazing soundtrack as well. And by the looks of it, so will X.

I see somebody has mentioned Chrono Trigger, but nobody has yet to bring up Chrono Cross. I hate the game with a passion, but the music is stellar.

NieR. The game is legit a musical masterpiece. I've never been so drawn to a game's music before in my life. It creates major sentiment within me. I suggest listening........and if you want any recommendations, just give me a heads up. As for right now, I'll list some that you all should check out. In general, I suggest listening to the entire “NieR Gestalt & NieR Replicant (Original Soundtrack) Album". Truly a work of art. Note, if you're going to listen, you'll notice that the singer(s) is/are not singing in any language pre se. You see, the singer(s) is/are singing in complete nonsense, using words from different languages and usually its no "words" at all. Many would say that there are no lyrics, just "rubbish" sounding words. Its like a made up language in a sense. This creates a sense of connection to the listener, you can feel the emotion and sentiment without even understanding the lyrics. And with that, I think that's truly amazing. -Snow In Summer -Hills of Radiant Winds -Grandma -Songs of the Ancients (Devola) -Songs of the Ancients (Hollow Dreams) -Kaine (Salvation) -Kaine/Escape -The Lost Forest -City of Commerce -Song of the Ancients (Popola) -Dispossession (Pluck Version) -Yonah (Pluck Version 2) -Shadowlord(**recommends heavily) -Ashes of Dreams (New) -Ashes of Dreams (Aratanaru)
