If you were having a feeling of Nostalgia, what do you watch/play/listen and actively seek out to appease that feeling?
Watching old-school OVA anime from the VHS era of the 80s and 90s really gets my nostalgia kick in overdrive! Second to that, it's playing games I haven't played in years.
As another point of discussion, why do we some of us get these feeling of nostalgia in the first place? Ideally, we should only embrace new things and discard the old. In my case, there's always enough people who like new things, so I might as well love the things people no longer appreciate.

Eh....what's good in the "new" anyway? Personally I do a lot of things of the sort, sometimes me & my brothers play Uno (you know Uno card game), we also watch some of the oldest animes or movies. Ah how amazing those old day ^^ I sound like an old geezer.....well not as old fashioned as my father

I agree with what you posted, we ideally should discard the old and embrace the new. No point in being a slave to the past after all.
Yet at the same time, I love the feeling of nostalgia. Some things remind me of when I was a bigger gamer (adult life gets in the way of fun), some things remind me of friends that I've grown distant with, and some things remind me of "when idea x was innovative". Like playing Symphonia--once, that battle was new. Once, those graphics were new. Those things are positively prehistoric these days, but they were great back when they first came out.
Now I'm rambling like some old person. XD

Ideally, we should only embrace new things and discard the old. I don't see why this should be. Art and culture is valuable- this is why we continue to preserve everything from 80's anime to Gilgamesh. There is nothing wrong with going back and revisiting old memories- we usually enjoy the things we did back in the day for a reason, and there's nothing wrong with that. We should try to enjoy both old and new things! Especially as we get older we have a tendency to stop liking new things, so we should keep trying out the new stuff even if it's had to cope with. I think nostalgia is dangerous as a concept, though. The idea that everything used to be better is really tempting and can blind you to some of the seriously cool stuff that comes out all the time. As ever, though, we should keep in mind Sturgeon's Law: 90% of everything is rot.

I only get Nostalgic when I come into contact with something older from my past; the feeling doesn't usually just spring up one morning XD
But I find that when I play really old games that I've put ALOT of hours into is what kicks the feeling into overdrive. But I'm sure it would work the same for movies that I've watched way too many times like the Mummy, Or ToyStory, but I haven't seen those movies in a REAALLY long time. It would be nice to watch them again QuQ

Nostalgia is a past time I hardly ever want to do. The past is a very delicate subject for me, so what I do is draw or sleep it off. I sound boring, but I really don't want to think about the past;;

I used to be a HUGE Sonic fan. I had his toys and games all over the place. I used to draw Sonic characters with my sister. I watched the shows whenever they were on TV. I ran all over the place because I wanted to be like Sonic. Nowadays, my attention is divided by other things, but I still have a soft spot for him. To this day, I am a runner thanks to Sonic's influence.
