For discussing hip-hop and whatnot. I've been listening to Supreme Sol's "The Art of Being & Becoming". The song is six parts long and contains 500 bars. It discusses some topics that happened during 2012 and question the way things are in life. It was a neat listen, and I enjoy it because it's like 23 minutes long and I don't have to pull my phone out and shuffle to another song. His bandcamp page. Also, I didn't pay for the album to receive the hidden track. It was probably because I downloaded it the year after.

Sweet dood, recently I've been looking back at MF DOOM's special herbs albums, and Flying Lotus's J-Dilla tribute these are some great tunes.

I like what I heard. It's nice to revist some much important history, with a dash of interest in the troubled current gen tropes. To answer your question, I don't particularly have a favorite track by Dilla. Dilla in a way reminds me of Pete Rock, in the essence that I get the same sorta "chill" vibe in their beats. There's nothing wrong with that, but it can be hard to pick a favorite at times. I guess it would have to be a split between DFTF and Alien Family off the Yancy Boys album. And for Nujabes, it's between Aruarian Dance and Luv(Sic) Pt.6. They're both really nice songs to me, and they were the ones that really caught my ears while listening to his work, though he has other nice tracks as well. I take it you're probably familiar with Uyama Hiroto, since he's done a few song collabs with Nujabes. His most recent work, "One Day", came out around the summer of last year. It's a really soothing song for the most part, and I recommend it to anyone: I'm still a little salty because I had money around the time prior to the release. The vinyl was limited edition and it had an extra song not included in its digital release. There's a copy on ebay and its from a reliable seller in Japan, but I'm short on money and there's another person besides myself watching it at the moment. The song is called "In The Sea", and I believe the composition is in relation to Hiroto's life growing up near the sea. I managed to find some upload rips of the song on youtube, but it's a real shame it wasn't released digitally. A little off subject of those guys, but this man is someone I've been following before he started posting his vocals on youtube. I wasn't much of a fan of his most recent mixtape, but his "Unemployment Season" album had a lot of stuff I was bumping way way back.

Ohhh nice, a hip hop thread, something I can get behind.
I see someone posted Uyama Hiroto, Stratus is probably one of my favorite songs of his. I, personally, have been re-listening to a lot of 90s vibes and Mndsgn recently though.
Reachin' LP by Digable Planets and "bed" EP by Mndsgn have been getting me through the last two weeks.

My favorite song by Hiroto is Summer, but that's because I really enjoy the season, since it's close to Spring. Speaking of some 90s vibes, A little dash of Pete Rock. I came across this not too long ago. I'm going to definitely try sleeping to this. Oh and if you haven't already, pragmatictheory.bandcamp.com/cultclassicrecords.bandcamp.com/two collectives worth checking out. A personal favorite of mine being #MASSACR by Pragmatic Theory.

Ah, really enjoying the tracks posted here. Watching dagoldenclip's videos, I always try to wonder where he gets those soulful beats at the ends. I'm really not a music aficionado so I need to resort to friends and other sources to ask for tips when I hear tunes I enjoy.
I'm sort of in the right place. Thanks.

Lately i've been listening to a lot of tracks from people i've discovered on Soundcloud like Aso soundcloud.com/aricogleAnother great find is Dj Deckstream,a great producer of wide variants of beats aside from Hip-Hop. Also,a great duo who are on soundcloud. Illoquence and Rythmatical, they used to post some great stuff on YouTube before they kinda just left it alone for some reason.
