Panban has officially announced his "retirement" of the Tales Marathon stream. A heavy blow to one of the few positive aspects of community output. I was fortunate enough to get an invitation as a guest speaker during the first one; leading to an interesting turn of events. I met Panban at this marathon, as it was an interesting mix of two different worlds. Breadban was introduced to challenge running, and I was able to really gain an appreciation for the various elements that Tales possess outside of just looking at everything from a challenge angle. Panbread really had a significant impact on how I view the series as a whole. Thanks to his marathon I was also able to meet various other Tales fans.
Then, round two happened to my surprise. After the combined efforts of Omega, Vercsase and myself to break Panban(All those mayo jokes, Kappa) Breadban mustered enough mental strength to do yet ANOTHER marathon. More fun times were had, jollies were rolled, and there was a lot of good insight into the series and its history. I met very interesting people from different walks of life.
For the third year, we were expecting a marathon stream for the release of Zestiria...
Only to receive bad news Panban will not be continuing the tradition. Panban will explain on his own time about his own things, but I rather take this time to thank him for the marathon stream these past couple years.
And with that death, rises a new opportunity...Nah, to cut the theatrics I'll be taking up Breadban's mantle and taking up my own version of the marathon stream. It's still in the planning phases, but the core idea will remain true to the original marathon. It may be a bit haphazard, but it's something.
