Oh, sorry! I was replying to much earlier posts; I did'nt know there were more pages.. @_@"
But back on this topic~ I always seem to like the hero, even if I don't think I will at first. Especially with Luke; I thought I would'nt like him at all, but he turned out to be my favorite Tales character ¢¾ So maybe it'll be the same with Asbel? I don't like him much now..
(Also, just noticed I'm a Half-Elf? I feel like I don't belong here.. ._.; haha)

You change ranks by posting more =D (posts in the forum games/debris belt don't count) Since my name is Yuan I'm inclined to say I guess half elves are still being discriminated against, DAMN THE HUMANS!. Seriously, did ToS not teach us anything? pick a less racist base rank >_<

Anyone have any theories of the significance of the title? "Graces"?

Asbel is a noble, graces could reference his duty as nobility to act noble, and could be a reference somehwo to the theme, to under stand the power to protect...

Maybe Graces could mean grace as in forgiveness?

Maybe it doesn't really mean anything at all? (Unless they said the title will reflect the game's plot somehow, then I'd be wrong)
For example, look at Tales of Symphonia. Does it have anything to do with "symphonia", or a symphony? No, I don't really think so. In fact, they should've given the name to Tales of the Abyss, which had some musical terms. I -think- the only Tales games that somehow related to their titles were Tales of Eternia (their universe was called Eternia), Tales of Rebirth (as in, all the main characters are "reborn" over the course of their journey), Tales of Vesperia (the name of the brightest star in the night sky) and Tales of Hearts (hearts hearts hearts hearts hearts).

Speculation of course, which isn't really that useful here, but Symphony=harmony and togetherness (referring to the races and two worlds), perhaps? I always thought Abyss had to do something with the Qliphoth, considering abyss in Hebrew mythology is apparently "a surging water-deep." But then again abyss is also used in a lot of religions to denote the chaos before a world is created

Symphonia was "to resonate with you RPG" so the theme of symphonia was unity
Graces i think maybe relates to Asbel's desire to protect his friends, so possibly graces could refer to it's theological meaning "enabling power sufficient for progression"

Symphonia probably refers to the two worlds and how they are balanced like the parts of a symphony. I should make a list of what the games' names refer to. EDIT: As for speculation, I speculate that someone if going to get kidnapped a lot of time...

I believe it was named Graces as a gift from God or a blessing, since the alternate names for it that were trademarked were Blessea and such.

Alright, that makes sense. So we can assume Asbel is going to have a magic power or something similar then. XD

I immagine it refers to him needing to gain power to protect his friends and canon love interest from danger such as those tanks in the trailer and the other warring countries, whilst fighting to end the war, which i assume began due to some odd reason that is telling of the way we think about and consider things in modern socicety, whilst also being betrayed by a main character who we come to trust and count on, or suspect.
