I don't think she works on the sidelines no matter what you have her do. Her light and dark spells are different then Jade's spells since they provide different FoF's to use. And her fighting style is different then the other fighters. And she is unique when you have Luke and Natalia whose counterparts are better then them(Guy and Tear), why not has Anise in there? Well, I don't like slow characters, and I like using the characters in battle who I like best personality wise. Anise was slow and I didn't really like her that much, so...

I can understand your thinking, different people think different ways. But I understand.

I liked her as a benchwarmer, personally :X Haha, I know what you mean. I found her as unnecessary as Regal from Symphonia. This In the battles that required her, I just left her dead on the field. XD That is true, we don't play different Tales games to use the exact same unit over and over again. I liked the way Anise was a unique unit; she was fun, I just didn't find her useful.

In the battles that required her, I just left her dead on the field. XD Ouch. That's harsh. She's useful for comic relief....LOL Seriously, everyone has their own methods of fighting. As you said, we don't play these games just to use the same teams over and over.

I used her a lot: in major boss battles, I've always found her spamming Bloody Howling / Maelstrom pretty useful, so I've generally used her as a mage. It keeps her out of the way of being pummelled too!

well she has more strike artes so she's a fighter.......but in grand battles in unknown mode I keep her using magic artes only.

She is a fighter and a mage, but when you look at how she can fight without Tokunaga, mage!

Since Jade is epic, I never used Anise as a spell caster. Ever. I always closed off her spells and just had her beat everyone up. I think of her as a fighter with some magic abilities, like Asch. Both characters do a bit of both but I always though Anise was more fighter then anything since a large portion of her attacks are physical rather than magical.

Well thats the beauty of TOTA, you can utilize characters like Anise to either a fighter or mage. Id say there is no obvious answer to this question, the choice depends on the enemies you are facing. I believe certain enemies are more resistant to Physical or Magical attacks.
