I bought coffee for a hot latina lady who when they couldn't accept her credit card due to the $5 credit card purchase limit. Told me to meet me at the same place to repay the favor Then later, went to lunch with another girl, who also gave me a ride home.

Caught a minor cold... but it's not enough to stop me from going to school, doing projects and schoolwork, and flirting with cute gals in school lol.
Time to nuke this cold with vitamin C and dayquil!

Hate to break it to ya, but vitamin C actually has virtually no effect on the immune system. At best, it has a mild placebo effect.

Oh at least for the sake of cure, I know. It does play a role in prevention and the fact that I finally got sick after a long time of not catching that seasonal cold is proof that I'm lacking something (vitaminc C or otherwise). It's also unwise to dismiss the power of placebo - the mind is a powerful tool and plays a huge role in our well-being

I just remembered this place. I'm actually in awe because this is one of the few communities I parted with and got back into via Tales forum that got shut down fairly recently. I'll miss that place, but I'm really glad this place is still breathing with the same regulars from when I started. It makes the entirety of this post less awkward, besides the fact that I'm bumping the thread seeing how it's probably 2 weeks old now. How are you guys doing?

Ahhh we're fine and dandy, just going full study and schoolwork mode for Finals week. Glad to see members popping back in, they're always welcome to post and bump topics with relevant posts! In Starbucks right now trying to concentrate on school, being an easily distracted person that I am. It's strange that I become a lot easier to distract with age.

Life's going, I guess. As good as things can go when finals are nigh, anyway! Shouldn't be too awful, though. (Shouldn't have made it harder for myself by starting A Link Between Two Worlds last night, but ya know, productivity and studiousness ain't all it's crapped up to be.) How're things with you? (I wouldn't sweat bumping old threads, btw... nobody cares. I have no qualms necroing years-old threads.)
I heard about the official Tales forum dying a while back. What happened with that, anyway?

A good classmate (and now good friend) came by with her husband to help me get the Anti-skid Braking System out of the car. He's an airline mechanic and he kinda shown me how to do it. That's what we did in the past couple of hours and I'm really interested in learning to fix cars - especially considering that once I get this car fixed and I get my license, this car (Volkswagen Passat 2003) is mine

What are the results of using those nice copics? It's early in the morning and I just got back from hitting stuff with slingshots with a friend. Playing with slingshots at my age!!

Reading an article on Islam. Pretty interesting! I found that when I went to Morocco, most women were dressed like 4 or 5. Notably, however, most people outside were men, and the women tended to be older (40+) or young girls. That might have been due to it being Ramadan at the time, though, idk.

^Sadly, Like most of the teachings of Islam, Hejab has taken either byond it's definition, or never being uphold it's meaning....
to make things clear, the definition of Hejab is : "A dress of women in the public that does not seduce the eyes of men in a sexual way"...
that means each community or country can uphold hejab to how it's suited to it's culture, wearing black clothes isn't the true image of Hejab...

Just... scribbling my feelings into a private document. Writing my heart out about fear and loneliness and anything that comes to mind for a bit of exercise. I can't sleep, so I might as well do something other than read and read and never say anything.
A-and I said hello to someone on Twitter! I read some of their writing about games and thought they were really cool and so I sent them a nice message, that's not too presumptuous, is it!?
...man, my social skills have really atrophied. Phew.
