That joke was less hilarious than intended.
Reading is IMPORTANT.
The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler (Excellent) And after that I'll start on Gulliver's Travels.

I approve of your latter book. I've never heard of the former.
I'm not reading anything at the moment, but I intend on going to the library sometime to get some books on ABNORMAL PSYCHOLOGY. Preferably fetal alcohol syndrome or reactive attachment disorder, but I'm not terribly picky.

End the Fed by Ron Paul. Good book so far-- it's the core of my research for my term paper.

The books are not within arms reach right now, so I can only say the title, not each book's respective authors. Anyway...:
An Incomplete Education Great Paintings of the Western World Watercolor School : A practical guide to painting with watercolor Understanding Social Problems The Scientific Image Grimm's Fairy Tales Book Of Lists
Yes I'm reading them all. I'm alternating between them all depending on what I fancy reading.

Finished Room early this morning, about a boy and his mother who are locked in a room by the mother's captor for seven years. I liked it at first, but the plot became terribly predictable :S It was painfully obvious the inspiration came from the Jaycee Lee Duggard and Josef Fritzl cases.
Eh, whatever, it wasted time at the airport.

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, by Haruki Murakami.
I need to stop happening upon stories where the protagonist reminds me of myself.
Maybe I ought to take up reading ROMANCE NOVELS instead

Maybe I ought to take up reading ROMANCE NOVELS instead Just don't stumble upon a book with an eight-letter title that starts and ends with "t." That would be tragic.

Romance books are the scourge of literature. Awful trash. (Although I did like Pride and Prejudice.)

Finished reading Farewell, My Lovely, by Raymond Chandler. If anyone on here likes crime fiction, hard-boiled detective stories, hysteric dames, or nice hats, it's a must-read. Chandler's pretty great.
For the first time in a long time, I feel like I'm running out of things to read, which is a good feeling since it means I've been reading a lot since I got to campus. Next I guess I'll tackle Wicked, since it's the only thing on my bookshelf I haven't read that isn't a graphic novel or in Japanese (I have a copy of Trash by Amy Yamada, picked it up at a Japanese bookstore for like 75 cents. Got it because there's a black guy on the cover, which is probably the worst reason to do anything isn't it).
Or the Volsunga Saga, but I kind of want a heftier book to take to classes, since what ever will I do when I finish reading?

Read Middlesex if you want something to read. That book was excellently done, and I don't even like fiction. It's considered one of the modern English classics, in fact!
