Get Cam Clark to do Richard, that guy does voices so good it ain't funny...
Seriously though what's with them repeating "we have no plans to blah blah blah" all the time now? Do they even CARE about their American or international fanbases anymore? Or is their Japanese fanbase all they care about these days? I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up putting something on hold indefinitely like what Activision-Blizzard did to StarCraft Ghost, just so they could keep making their cheap World of Warcraft expansions...
Sorry to rant, but I really and honestly feel like Bandai-Namco is just abandoning us... I came to the Tales series after a long string of disappointments with the Final Fantasy series... I'm really disheartened with the recent FFs, but now I'm really becoming disappointed with the lack of presence the Tales series has here...

You probably should be sorry about ranting, because if you want to encourage the success of a game in your eregion, buy multiple copies and have your friends do the same, it's the only real difference you can make. They're saying it so often, because people ASK so often when it just isn't profitable, and if it's DEFINATELY not profitable, then it won't happen. A ton of games end up losing money, even when they look good on paper, they can't afford to go for a niche audience, which is frankly what we are. Don't b!tch, buy.
Cam Clarke wouldn't suit Richard at all for most of his personality/role either.

I would buy multiple copies, but i barely ever see new copies of Tales games. I've only seen DotnW and Vesperia new, all the others i've seen were used

*sigh* Ever consider the fact that some people simple CAN'T AFFORD multiple copies and see no point in spending extra to obtain multiple copies?
I've done what I can to support the series, when a new title comes out localized I buy brand new to support their revenue stream...
There's no need to be an ass about something I apologized for... If you're looking for trouble then find someone else to start it with...

Well, I highly doubt Namco is ever localizing anything here ever again, so you won't be needing to buy multiple copies anyway.
They say the definition of insanity is doing something the same way over and over, yet expecting different results. Hence, Namco would be insane to localize again. It's completely illogical to keep releasing games when all of them sell horribly.

i'd be at least somewhat okay with no localizations if they kept the 'Next:' part from Graces, along with the blinking cursor of where to go next. Then i could at least play the game and somewhat understand the story.
If it wasn't for that, i would have been waaaaaaayyy more confused on where to go.

Occurred to me to parse this in greater detail. Do they even CARE about their American or international fanbases anymore? Nope. Not unless they're getting money from it, which they aren't, sooooo. Well, it is a business, so they're going to develop games for people who actually, you know, buy them. Selling Tales in America is like trying to sell air conditioners in Siberia. Abandoning a market that brings in no profit is perfectly logical. Namco doesn't care about your feelings or anyone else's, and they shouldn't have to. It's a business. Businesses exist to make money, not to make people feel better (unless there is business to be had in doing so, but this is not true for North America, despite what Tales fans claim).

Why is this thread which doesn't even mean anything anymore in relationship to the original topic becoming a rant about localization? =_=;;

Because apparently 70% of Tales fans need the concept of a business model to be explained to them, and decide they don't get things simply because namco bandai is full of jerks.
It's not coming to NA, it was never confirmed /by Namco/, so the thread's point is already stated. If it isn't closed, it'll probably meander along this route some more.

Banco doesn't roll that way. They're not like Atlus USA, who work under slim profit margins. They need a higher top line or it's just not worth it to them.
Nevermind that localized Tales games already are released in limited numbers, given that they don't get reprinted because they don't sell well.
Give it up! It's not happening!

It's still taking me quite a while to buy the Older games that came to the US, importing those runs me up to around £80-90 each.
I'm plenty happy not to have even more english tales games I have to pay double for. Tales of Destiny PSX for £87.99? Pain. In. The. Ass.

Give it up! It's not happening! I can't afford to dish out 100+ dollars on a single game like some of you fortunate people so that won't be happening any time soon thank you unless I can find a cheap import closer to a not insane price. Anyway, I do get what you're saying. They're already in a huge ditch so the limited numbers thing doesn't work. :/

You're saying that to a starving art student :'D Anyway, the suggestion isn't meant to be taken literally. Obviously, no one in their right mind would purchase multiple copies of the same game. It was just stated to illustrate that money talks and b*tching doesn't. Namco will not localize more games until more people guy them and actually allow them to eke a profit.
