Personally, I'd rather have video game characters get sucked into the real world. Like the Indian in the Cupboard or something. Don't worry, Umbra. I have the wind element, so if you get a support with me, your evade will go up even more! (I don't get Hiro's joke about the negative HP values.) Great because I don't want to die! Actually, some characters are just injured in Fire Emblem but can't fight anymore so that could be considered unconscious or dying. And lol, I get Hiro's explanation. Only pencil and paper RPG players would know about negative HP values.

Great because I don't want to die! Actually, some characters are just injured in Fire Emblem but can't fight anymore so that could be considered unconscious or dying. That's typically relegated to story-important characters or during tutorial segments (Like Lyn's Quest in Blazing Sword). Dungeons and Dragons. At 0 hp you're unconscious. At -1 to -9, you're dying and lose one HP a turn until someone heals you (Either through magic or the Heal skill). Once you hit -10, though, you're dead for real. Typically in games like Final Fantasy, you don't actually die when your HP hits zero, you simply fall unconscious- (SNES-era FF games used "Swoon" in certain translations because of this) When your entire party is unconscious, they are no longer able to defend themselves and so the enemy is able to murder them. This also solves the conundrum of forced-loss battles, because if all your party members are dead, how do they get better after a loss? A notable exception is Dragon Quest, but they also go to lengths to make resurrection items hard to get (In VIII, for example, you could only hold two at once).

If you got sucked into Star Ocean 3, you'd get sucked into a video game while you're being sucked into a video game.

LOL. I agree, the plot really got twisted on disc 2. Who would have known that there was a 4d world lulz. I really wanna replay that game now ;D

GTA is pretty realistic imo. I believe some cities have their lives like that (detroit?)
