New post, not associated with the interview. EDIT: And Abby already beat me by a news post.
Apparently the community manager, Richard Bantegui, posted on NB's Facebook that he's asking for any thoughts, suggestions or REQUESTS for a number of their series, most prominently Tales, on his twitter account.
General news with all the relevant links.
People on the official forums tallied up some posts, and the numbers looked like Graces is the most wanted, followed by Xillia. He might be hinting that he considered those numbers:
Hopefully this is fruitful.
EDIT: Almost forgot. I wrote this off as random since I didn't know who he was, but the president of Namco Networks America, Kenji Hisatsune, liked the article above on his facebook page. Don't know if this will lead to anything or not.Hey guess what?

Doubt anything will come of it, but it'll get the fandom to shut their yaps for a bit.

I still won't get my hopes up, since if I do, I might just get very disappointed. Being surprised is better than being disappointed, at least.

There's no right way to handle the Tales fandom.

I still won't get my hopes up, since if I do, I might just get very disappointed. Being surprised is better than being disappointed, at least. That's how I operated until I simply stopped caring about the series. So many rumors fly around about Tales localizations that you're bound to be crushed again and again if you believe them all. Always be pessimistic and assume nothing will happen. At the worst, your expectations will be met, and the best, you'll be pleasantly surprised. (Yes, I am a die-hard pessimist about virtually everything. How did you guess?) There's no right way to handle the Tales fandom. qft

Hell, I would import them all, but I don't have a PS3 and I wanted to play Vesperia and Graces very badily. I could go for RM3, since it's the most likely I'll even get my hands on a copy. I'll just sit around and see how the rumors go around to start believing. But I won't waste a breath believing it will come unless it's an official confirmation.

iirc, RM1 sold absolutely horribly, so yeah, don't hold your breath. I think ice has a better shot forming in Hell than RM3 getting a localization.

Colonel, Hell is frozen to its very core.

Probably was when Vesperia was: announced for the 360; announcement of an English release soon after; with a release date only weeks after Japan's; caused 360s to sell out in Japan; with an English version of the opening; and completely voiced including skits.
Then Ratatosk came out, and it started thawing. Then it melted when Vesperia PS3 was announced.
Is Namco going to just let hell flare up again?

Hiro, you and your Dante's Inferno's representation of Hell are mucking up my comparison. Silence yourself.

I don't mean that "Hell is frozen over" as in "the impossible is happening." I mean "being frozen is the default state of being for Hell."

Well, think of it figuratively. Let's say RM2 or 3 gets localized. That means Hiro tells the truth when he says hell is frozen when put in conjunction to what Youngster Joey says about localization. We'll be able to discern the temperate conditions in hell once and for all within a few months.
Well, my opinion is that Namco IS going in a new direction. Just I'm not sure what that direction is. Just acknowledging the people on the Facebook page was unexpected. I'm going to be hopeful, but not too hopeful

Phone Master, I don't think you understand. You all keep saying that ice in hell is a strange thing but it is in fact the default state of being. It's the way things normally are. If there is ice in hell it isn't anything out of the norm. The status is quo.
But seriously, Banco America hasn't been successful at all in the last few years, with absolutely abysmal sales where they expected multi-millions. They'll have to change their game plan, and if that means swallowing some measly 150k-200k sales, maybe that'll be what gets Tales games localized.
But what's more likely is they'll just pull further out of the western market and only stick to what they absolutely know will sell, like anime franchise games and Soul Calibur.
