Hello all, We've started a Twitter account in hopes of getting Namco Bandai to localize Tales of Vesperia on PlayStation 3, aka the complete version. Our account has already been noticed by Namco's US Community Manager and their UK PR/Marketing Manager, who both think we're doing a good job with this account. The Twitter account is here: twitter.com/vesperiaps3All you have to do is follow us, tweet us something nice, and we'll retweet it. Our goal is to build up a wall of tweets from Vesperians to show Namco Bandai that there is a place for ToV PS3 in North America and Europe. Please don't be negative. Follow us. =)

Not to be a jerk or anything, but Microsoft has exclusive rights. A fan-run twitter account won't change the legal situation.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but Microsoft has exclusive rights. A fan-run twitter account won't change the legal situation. Namco never confirmed anything about that. I asked their UK PR and Marketing guy if he knew anything about it and even he didn't have a clue. I doubt some Junior Community Manager would know anything about it. Give the account a follow and tweet something nice, and we'll retweet it. It wouldn't hurt. ;-) Rich Bantegui has already taken notice of the account.

I don't believe you read my last post? I specifically mentioned the junior community manager.

No, I read your post.
Why would a Namco Bandai community manager speak on a topic like that if he didn't know anything about it? I think you ought to give the person more credit. Moreover, as you mentioned, Namco's well aware of the fan uproar over ToV not being localized. I imagine if some community manager began making statements about ToV being exclusive to the 360 when it wasn't true, he'd probably incite the ire of higher-ups, so there's even less incentive for him to make a statement like that without having all the details.
On the other hand, it's not like I have an issue with fans trying to petition Namco or anything even if I think it's a hopeless legal situation, so my engaging in this argument is sort of wasting time for the both of us. I'll leave it at that and wish you the best of luck.

Never hurts to try Even if it'll only make them realize being 360-exclusive (or being system-exclusive altogether) is not really a good idea, for the most part. Unless they've been offered huge sums of money for sticking to being exclusive

Namco is already busy with two Tales games, spamming them with a third one won't do any good.

Before asking for another game, I think it's better if the Tales fanbase proves that they want more localizations with their wallets, since they sure as hell haven't for previous games.

There's no reason not to follow us now. What about the part where Vesperia PS3 would move less copies than the 360 version and not make any money? Or the part where Vesperia isn't a good game and Namco should just forget about it and move on. Or the part where it'd really kill the franchise in the West to pump out three installments in a short timeframe, two for the same console. Or the part where bothering Namco on Twitter won't effect a change anyways? I could think of a lot of reasons to not follow your crusade for Vesperia PS3. My own personal reason is that, well, the fandom needs to let this entry go. Vesperia's been out for three years. If you really wanted to play the game, you would have already found a way to play it. If you've already played it, you'd know there's nothing important added in the port. Go home, stop bugging Namco about this stuff. If Vesperia PS3 is going to be localized, it's going to be localized- tweets or not. If not, well, a couple hundred semi-anonymous people on the internet aren't going to change anything. I know this "project" looks up to "Operation Rainfall" as one of its inspirations, but I assure you that OpRain isn't really doing anything. If any of the games they're begging to get localized do eventually get put out by the Big N, I assure you that it won't be because of them, even if the PR people imply something like that.

^ Just because you feel that way doesn't mean other fans do. If you don't like it, you shouldn't even have entered this section of the forum. Nothing important added in the port? Again, that's your personal opinion.
It's true that Namdai is unlikely to localize Vesperia PS3 PURELY because of the fans' petitions, but it could play a small part. Some people try to stay positive in life; tossing cold water over them isn't exactly the friendliest thing to do.
