www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmDPdCzCfFM&feature=youtu.beI was watching this video (great video, incidentally), and was pondering how truthful people are online. Have you ever fabricated anything? For better or for worse, I'm an open book on the internet. The only thing I've ever lied about was age when I was a kid on Neopets. I was incredibly afraid that the Neopets admins would find out I lied about my age to get the content available to users older than 13 :'D I told all of my internet friends I was 24 for months before finally confessing with bated breath that I was actually only 10. (Neopets did indeed end up banning me, but for something else altogether, heh.) I've led people on to think I was a guy before, but not through active deceit. Sometimes I haven't bothered marking my gender and have let people come to their own, almost always erroneous conclusions instead.

I used to lie about my age a lot, but no one ever noticed.
Is it lying for me to play as a female character? I do that sometimes.

People have been convinced. I'm a pretty androgynous person.

A tad bit late, but much like YJ is, I'm more of an open book when it comes to the internet.
I don't lie about my details (rather, remember lying if I've ever either) and I usually don't tell much about my personal life unless I'm comfortable with what I'm telling. I'm fine if people take my words and further imply them into their own personal assumptions, but that's for them to think.

In the past, I have lied. Not a whole lot, but I fabricated some stories. These days, I simply don't give out details.

I can't think of anything I've intentionally lied about on the internet. If anything, I suppose my writing is a lie because it differs from my talking in some aspects. But there's supposed to be that difference, right?

We all probably lied at some point in everything. I can get called out for lying, even though I genuinely had no idea that what I'm saying may have been all a lie. With so few certainties in this world, you can pretty assume that everything is a lie, because it can either be somewhat disproved if someone really takes the time to do so, can not be 100% accurate thanks to lapses of memory, and/or someone taking the truth and spinning it to make it seem like a lie, taking the statement out of context. As for me... if I'm asked for my age, I *might* accidentally say I'm 18 out of habit
