What are your favorite and least favorites?
I can't do winter or spring. I think it's pretty--I do like snow--but I share the same body temperature regulation ability as a reptile. I'm basically a prisoner in my house from November to April, really.
Fall I have mixed feelings about. September and the beginning of October are really gorgeous in New England because of the trees, and I always like the "fresh start" feeling of fall brought about by a new school year. But come mid-October, it's freezing, all of the trees have lost their leaves, and the grass looks dead. I think November is hands-down the ugliest and most miesrable month of the year; there's no snow to hide the deadness. It's an empty wasteland.
Now, summer? Amazing. I don't mind humidity one bit. The heat feels great. In fact, the hotter, the better.

I think I'll start with my least favorite first--this season, Fall. It's a very deathly season to me not just because deciferous trees lose their leaves, but because people I'd known have actually died during this season.
The weather is another thing. After maybe a modestly hot summer, when Fall comes around you'll be lucky to even see the sun because of the consecutive never-ending cloudy days. And it just gets worse when daylight savings time ends. (Yeah, I agree, November is a horrible month.)
Next is Winter. For the most part Winter shares the same weather as fall except that it's colder and that some years it snows, making the environment prettier. The now-leafless deciferous trees don't bother me seeing as how the evergreens outnumber them by far, making the environment less barren.
Summer is okay. The warm weather is definitely welcomed, except for when I can't sleep because of the darn heat. The downside of summer for me is that things are too lively--it becomes noisy and I feel I'm always obligated to do something because every day is a nice day. Other than that, overall I do feel more productive during summer, which is a plus.
Spring is my favorite season. The weather is always changing in this season, but I like it for that reason--it gives some variety to the weather, which the miserable cloudy seasons and hot summers don't have. I'm also at my peak level of productivity during this season for some reason.
I also like this season for the fact that it marks the end of a school year, which of course is a good thing.

Haha, I thought this was the natural state of much of Washington? That and rain. When I visited Washington years ago during the summer, it was sunny maybe once for the entire week I was there. It was either cloudy and dreary, or it drizzled. (Luckily, it was sunny and gorgeous when we hiked Mt. Rainier.)

This state's weather is just plain unpredictable. In actuality, you can never count on a summer to actually be hot or for it to not snow in April. You can bet your money that it'll be cloudy and that you'll see some rain, though.

Winter, my favorite season because it's the coldest Australia will ever get.
Summer, my most hated season because all the beach nuts go out and play... And it's ridiculously hot too.

The small community is nice since people can easily fit in. With a big community, unless you've been there from the beginning or close to it, it's hard to fit in and actually get to interact people there.

Yeah, I used to be a part of a bigger forum in high school, and they had a social hierarchy and everything that you had to work your way up. They treated new people pretty horribly, just because they were new... amusingly, they also frequently complained that nobody good ever stuck around the forums. Man, couldn't tell ya why that would be. (Luckily, I never had to deal with the abuse because my friend, who invited me to join, was an established and well-liked member.)

Hmm, about seasons, I prefer to consider the change from one season to another. I like and hate them all for their own reasons, but I can refer more easily to the changes.
I hate fall into winter, simply because the nice crisp air and red trees gives way to wrinkly dead leaves on the ground mixed with slush and winds.
Spring into summer is nice. Just when things are getting warm yet not too hot and the smell of greenery is in the air.
Gah, it's starting to feel like fall into winter here....

Yeah, social hierarchies are really stupid. I stopped joining bigger forums because of being treated as less than a person. Well, one thing a fresh member can do is make fun of the top posters for having wasted their lives making tens of thousands of posts. Not saying they should do that, but it is a counterattack to being called a noob, I guess.

I used to be in a few of those big forums back in the day, only to find it ridiculous, and at times silly and petty, people would compete over status and sometimes post counts and feel proud about it. They would see new members as being beneath them, and some of the new users would do anything for some sort of status and acceptance within this big community, so that their voice would mean a lot more within said community. It's also a pain to manage and mod in those kinds of forums, thanks to the crap you're going to deal with Back to topic, I'm supposed to love Fall thank to Fall being nice, cool and windy for me, but I'm now preferring Spring. I don't like direct sunlight, but I've grown to appreciate nice, clear and sunny days.
