I used to think overworld system was needed for RPGs like Symphonia or FFIX but Xillia made me forget about them. Teleporting to places really helps and makes it easier. I hope they keep it for future Tales because I don't want the overworld back.

It depends on the game, but I would have to agree, at least regarding Tales. I don't think the series loses a lot by getting rid of them because the overworlds have never been that impressive to begin. Abyss's overworld, for instance, was largely just the same flat green turf stretching out for ages with a town plunked here or there.
On the other hand, I keenly felt the lack of an overworld map in DotNW. But if I really think about it, I guess it only bothered me because the game felt rushed in so many other ways already.

I think its a good game. May be somewhat short but imagine someday Namco does a remake with a combination of TOX and TOX2 in it the story will be around 70-80 hour long anyway.

I'm about 30 hours into this game (English version), and my impressions are: -Graphics are meh. Sad. -Voice acting isn't terribly great--I like the boys' voices, but not the girls'. -Jude--Y U SO CLINGY -I don't really get Milla. She's naive, yet knowledgeable. She sounds stoic, yet she clearly demonstrates emotions. Maybe I'd like her more in the JP version -Battle's great, on the other hand though I'm not that big on the linked artes -Story's the blandest story ever--up until a certain point. It's gotten interesting, though I still can't say I'm a huge fan -Lack of an overworld throws me off -Speaking of which, some of the game's events are strange, considering the distance between places Usually the Tales hero's my favorite of the bunch. But not Jude. :[ He's sweet, but waaaaaaaay too much of a mouse. Think for yourself, dude!
