I didn't see a thread for this anywhere, so I thought I'd make one. Are there any other Ace Attorney fans here? It's one of my favorite series ever, and I really hope they localize Dai Gyakuten Saiban (and Investigations 2--I haven't given up yet). I tried the first game just to see what it was all about, and after that, I hurried and got all the others. And, considering the site I'm on, I must confess that before I played Tales of Symphonia, I thought of its main protagonist as "guy who looks like Apollo Justice."

.... Huh, I never made that correlation with Lloyd and Apollo before but they do share some similar colours.
Ace Attorney games are always fun to playthrough. Dual Destinies felt a lot easier than previous entries in the series, and I heard PL X AA is also easy for veterans of both sides. Unfortunately I opted to watch a playthrough of Investigations instead of playing through it back in 2011, and I regret making that decision to this day. I heard the Investigations 2 fan translation is actually pretty decent.
What I'm curious about is how the localization team will handle the next game considering that a lot of it is in Japan and Capcom tends to Americanize a lot of the local Japanese references. I'm guessing they'll probably just play the culture straight since there's no way of avoiding it this time.

Even Lloyd's happy skit animation is similar to one of the animations Apollo had in Dual Destinies. Toss in their respective antagonists' appearances, and... okay, I'm a nut. XDDD (And what about Regal and Blackquill? Just saying. XDD) Yeah, Dual Destinies was disappointingly easy. I liked that it avoided some of the particularly bad leaps of logic the previous games had, but it went too far. It felt too linear, and for an Ace Attorney game, that's impressive. xD I hope the next game finds a sort of middle ground. The crossover with Professor Layton wasn't quite as easy... but the ending was very disappointing. Amazing game, and I loved it, but the ending almost ruined for me. People say the fan translation of AAI2 is fantastic. I'm so tempted... but I really want an official release. Well, Dai Gyakuten Saiban stars in Japan, but they've said the majority of the game takes place in London. I hope that means our chances of getting it are better...

Good ol' AA. I've followed since I had found a live voice acted version of the first case.
AAI2's translation is actually fairly incredible. Sure, most of the characters are new, but the returning cast is in character and the new cast doesn't feel like it was phoned in. I'd even say it has the quality I'd expect from the actual translations.

Ace Attorney is one of my favorite franchises. It's one of those worlds where I can look at the cast and say "oh gods, I know all these people." The level of insanity is just about on-par with reality there.
So I'm glad any time I hear the music or sound effects. They sound like coming home, especially Turnabout Sisters.
For a long, long, long time my phone's ringtone was The Steel Samurai and I used the notification jingle for my texts.
