E3 2015 is almost upon us! What are you looking forward to the most? What surprise announcements are you hoping to hear? My E3 pipe dreams: - Ace Attorney Investigations 2 being localized. Every year, I spend every gaming event anticipating this news. Every year so far, I've been disappointed. But maybe this is the time!
- The World Ends With You 2
- More Bayonetta, whether it's Bayonetta 3, a spin-off, or Bayo 2 DLC
- A prequel to Tales of Symphonia. Yes, I know this is even less likely now since Berseria was just announced. I can still dream.
As for more realistic E3 hopes... uh... well, I really thought there was a good chance that The Great Ace Attorney (Dai Gyakuten Saiban) would be announced for localization, but Capcom released its E3 lineup and said nothing about Ace Attorney. I was also looking forward to seeing Scalebound gameplay, but Microsoft said Scalebound won't be at E3. So I guess I'm looking forward the most to....... surprises! That's always my favorite part of these events, when some brilliant announcement is sprung on us without warning. What about you?

Are you aware that Tales of Phantasia is basically a prequel to Tales of Symphonia? I'm not sure if there's any room for another game in between.
My most realistic hopes are probably: * More info about Fallout 4 * More info about Dark Souls 3 * More info about XCOM 2 * More info about Zelda U * Something about the new Star Fox * Anything about the CRPG spiritual successors at this point, although I doubt they will have anything saved for E3 * MOST IMPORTANTLY: Persona 5
I'd also like to see Nintendo to bring Metroid back up, in any form. I'm actually more interested in the upcoming/just announced AAA titles than I've been in the past 3-4 years. I'm still hopeful for some actual information about Cyberpunk 2077, but since this year will be about Witcher 3 I doubt we will get anything.
I might come up with more later, but this is the stuff I can think of right now.
ALSO, Grant Kirkhope will be playing ukulele. Nearly forgot the best show.

Phantasia is a far-distant sequel, not a prequel, isn't it? (Well, technically Symphonia is a far-distant prequel to Phantasia.) Besides, the prequel I want is very specific. It's set during the Kharlan War. I'm looking forward to Nintendo's show. I thought they did a great job last year, and I hope they have good surprises in store this year. It feels like it's about time for a new Metroid. Yeah, I think CDPR said Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn't be at E3 because they're focusing on The Witcher 3... although since that's already out, you'd think they could spare something. Maybe they're going to show details about the Witcher 3 expansion. Grant Kirkhope is going to be there?

Oh right you are right, my bad. A Tales game focused on a war instead of world-saving-business would be cool actually. Something like Tactics Ogre: LUCT.
I don't really care about Witcher 3 (until I build a new PC, which will probably be in a couple of years), Cyberpunk 2077 sounds like a more interesting Project to me. Most likely they are going to showcase the expansions instead.
Kirkhope is going to play ukulele outside the E3 building/whateve I believe.
"With only 15 days left for the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter, we thought we’d boost backer morale with a rousing reminder of Grant Kirkhope’s musical call to action. In just two weeks’ time we’re going to make this man play a Ukulele at E3 – will you be there? Let us know on Twitter. We might let you prod him with a stick as he strums his notes."
From the Yooka-Laylee kickstarter update from a week ago. We'll bee seeing some Youtube videos at some point for sure. I wonder what songs he's gonna play there.

Well, Nintendo made sure this E3 started with a big surprise--EarthBound Beginnings, aka the first Mother game released in the west at last!

I'm honestly curious to see how the game holds up to this day. I hope it's done well enough to attract good sales so I can get my childhood dream fulfilled: Final Fantasy VI PROPERLY remastered. Of course the FFVII remake is going to crap on a lot of fanboys, can't avoid that. I find it funny that it seems like the game is primarily marketed to west, with all of the anime influences toned down and the english narrator, instead of japanese as usually in JRPG announcements. And, surprisingly, the thing I'm most interested in the remake is the remade soundtrack . I might try the game itself too at some point. Have anyone announced anything else besides: * Dishonored 2 * Doom 4 * Earthbound thingies * Dark Souls 3 * That FFVII remakeI don't have the time to follow the stream myself and I don't know where to follow the announcements.EDIT: Nevermind, I'm already seeing E3 recap stuff on my subscription box. Imma watch those through.

I'm really excited about the Final Fantasy VII remake, but at the same time, I'm afraid. I hope they don't ditch the turn-based combat.
Sony and Square Enix had the best press conferences so far, to me. I was really disappointed in Nintendo's show.

Oh right you are right, my bad. A Tales game focused on a war instead of world-saving-business would be cool actually. Something like Tactics Ogre: LUCT. Abyss kind of did that for a bit. As for Symphonia, I think there is more backstory on the Kharlan War in Tales of Fandom vol. 2, but I don't know if that's even canon. If they did a prequel, it would be cool if they incorporated tactical RPG elements into the standard battle system a la Narikiri Dungeon 2 and 3 for commanding soldier units and stuff.
