... so how are you feeling? The reception of Japan/importers has certainly caused a whirlwind of argument and debate. It's one thing to avoid hype months in advance, but with a new Tales right around the corner, can you feel the excitement rising just a little bit? Personally I feel it building whether I want it to or not.
For non-importers, these are the last days of speculation. For importers, are you planning a second purchase (perhaps for PS4/PC, or just to have it in English)? So let's have one last, very final pre-release thread, so that we can all come back after the 20th (I'm not forgetting you, European release date, I'm ignoring you for my own sanity) and see just how the game has lived up to our expectations! Or, more realistically, so that we can all come back a month from now so as to avoid spoilers...

I'm slowly getting excited for the release. All the salt surrounding the game have been lowering my expectations, but I think the game is going to be good enough.
The best part is we have week off from school around the release so I can just focus on enjoying the game without feeling guilty for not studying.

Oh, you are fantastically lucky for that. Thanks to my current situation, I'm not even going to be home until the 22nd (though, hilariously it will still be delivered on the 20th... beautiful). Also nice to hear you're getting excited. It's good to get at least a little excited for things, else life gets really, really boring. I'm really curious to see the western reaction to Zestiria. Pre-launch, Xillia 2 was revered pretty heavily. Post-launch a lot of people still really like it, thought it certainly ended up more flawed than I think many were expecting. If I had to guess, Zestiria will be similar, but opposite (better than people were expecting, but not the best Tales ever). Hell, I think just by having low expectations, we've all set ourselves up to be pleasantly surprised.
