Two siblings in search of the legendary "Philosopher's Stone". Ed and Al are back in order to return to their original bodies but there's a long road ahead of those two

Would you say this is better than the first anime? I vastly preferred the anime to the manga and happened to hear Brotherhood follows the manga's plot much more closely, so I'm a bit wary of watching it.
Regardless, I plan to wait for the dub. Vic Mignogna (or however you spell his name, I can never remember) did a much nicer job voicing Ed than Romi Paku, imo. I'm kinda surprised they haven't announced a dub yet given FMA's popularity.

They probably don't want to risk fans reacting badly to the first 15 or so episodes, which are very similar to the first series and not even considering the rest of the series...But that's just my guess.
In terms of animation quality, I love it. In terms of plot, I like it a lot. In terms of changes in seiyuu, I got used to it.
Ahahaha...I think I'm developing into a Ling fangirl now...

I just thought the manga was boring :S I read up to the 13th book or thereabouts, but it never captured my interest the way the anime did.

I believe the 13th book is around where Ed and Ling are in Gluttony's stomach and trying to get out,
And as for which one you prefer, I think it has a lot to do with which one you started on. I started on the manga and love it LOADS better than the first anime. I think that each person is a little biased cause whenever they go to which ever one they didn't do first, it feels too different for them and they have a sort of fish out of water feeling =/

I'm rewatching the original series since I haven't seen it in years and then I'm planning on watching Brotherhood. I can't say I like the art style much, but it'll be interesting to see the differences from the first anime and the similarities to the manga.

I saw like the first episode (which is technically the second) and that's about it. Seems really cinematic. Wonder how this is going to turn out. I haven't watched or read anything FMA-related in a long time so this is going to feel new to me.

Well, I'm about ep 15 into Brotherhood. It's okay, but I think I like the first anime more, even if it did stray more. I felt the first anime had more of an impact emotionally and it mixed the grave events with the comic relief better. But I saw that one first, so I'm probably just bias.

Well, the series only just starts to go off in its own direction at episode 15...Fffft there are some amazing episodes after 15.
Hmmm...I started on the first anime and then read the manga, but I still like Brotherhood better. Though one thing I do miss from the first series is the song "Brothers". The new soundtrack still does really well though, so I can't complain. I suppose it also helps that Brotherhood is much more focused now that we don't have the additional mini-arcs at the beginning. Seeing as we aren't near the conclusion yet, I can't compare endings...
