Slightly related to the drinking hypocrisy, one of my fat friends got bullied hard in finnish high-school equivalent because he was fat=>unhealthy. Not extremely/distractingly fat, but noticeably "rounder". The bullies were those people who smoked at least 4 times a day and used snuff on top of that. Some hypocrisy. /r/fatpeoplehate has some acticity outside of internet too, obviously... I've heard one flower-hat mother getting worried because he found one energy drink can in his 17 year-old son's room. He was asking people how he should tell about it to his husband and if he could get his son to rehab or something before he transitions into more hardcore stuff (=drugs). Some people have a bit distorted image of the dangers of energy drinks . Sometimes I hate people :C ******** I'm one of those people who do their best to not make someone feel bad (except when I really hate them of course). I can be very picky about food but I'll still eat pretty much anything if I'm hungry or someone else made the food "for me". I've even swallowed my own puke because I didn't want to puke in a public transport. I've never tasted coconut milk actually, only coconut grease in some cakes.

I started drinking energy drinks 2-3 years ago, and I've always followed a strict self set guideline for consumption, namely not exceeding 2 a day. It's not required of me to restrict this, but I do. And the worst part is when they bring up the "people have died" argument which, while tragic, has been shown that all the reported victims had preexisting heart conditions. And then they act as though smoking/drinking are somehow less harmful. Not only that, but usually people who have died drank a stupidly large amount of it in a short time span. In moderation, it's fine. Same thing goes for diet soda. It really bugs me when people claim it causes cancer. In the actual study that posited this connection, they had the rats consuming the equivalent of 40+ cans' worth of aspartame a day. Nobody actually does that (and if they do, they have other issues beyond the soda intake). I mean, hell, anything in excess usually isn't good... it's possible for your skin to turn orange from getting too much vitamin A from carrots or squash.

Those cancer claimers sound like the same type of people who clam that Monster is the drink of the devil. Any little thing they don't find fun must be ruined. -_- I actually had to abandon a YT channel I had been subscribed to for years because it just went full insanity all at once. Derman: Sorry about that friend though. It always sucks when someone you care about is being harassed over something as simple as weight. Er... I've never heard the term "flower-hat mother" before. Is it an expression?

I did a study: 100% of people living with cancer are alive. I think it's pretty obvious that being alive causes cancer. I jest. I find the phrase 'studies have shown' has become a kind of warning flag. Most often when I ask for more information about the study, people just give me a blank stare. On a more personal note, I have a friend who plays an MMO. He had a guild. It seems almost every other week I have to sit and listen for hours about how he's fed up with the 'drama' and ready to quit (the guild or the game, varies from week to week). Yet. It. Never. Happens. Everyone vents to their friends from time to time, but as a friendly reminder, make certain that's not all you do. It gets really tiring after a while. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TOPIC IS A VIDEO GAME. (I'm trying my hardest not to swear here)

Er... I've never heard the term "flower-hat mother" before. Is it an expression? It means those mothers/aunts/grandmothers who are extremely overcaring. They stereotypically like gardening (because that's healthy thing to do) and use those weird hats with different flowers in it. You know, those "nice" aunts from you have to live with in movies when your parents are dead/away/want you away/something else. Nowadays it means those people who attack Spongebob because it has satanic messages etc. Figured no-one really uses it in english but had to use it because it describes the person perfectly.

We(at least, people from Maryland, not sure about the rest of the states) use terms like "soccer mom," the overbearing, must be involved in everything their 'little baby' says or does. They tend to be bible nuts and just a tad bit crazed. But now that I got that summary the term makes a lot more sense. Friendly Person :): MMOs are a genre from hell really. The moment you get involved in them(or MOBAs) you're in for the long haul. A couple of family friends just kinda... Drifted off due to games like Warframe. Granted, I'm one to talk with my 500+ hours on FFXI.

Dunno what coconut drink you had back then but that sucks. The stuff I drink doesn't even have the small fruits (although I don't mind it..kinda like chewing on it). The fact that their drinking and smoking habits are completely over their heads shows how moronic their comments are towards your drinking choices. Energy drinks are "bad" in terms of uncontrolled drinking but whats worse is alcohol and smoking, which leads to more severe consequences if not controlled or even stopped. Too much of anything will kill you, tbh. It was just plain, non-liquid shaved coconut and I'm pretty sure that when I swallowed it decided, "I'll go visit the nasal cavity!" I started drinking energy drinks 2-3 years ago, and I've always followed a strict self set guideline for consumption, namely not exceeding 2 a day. It's not required of me to restrict this, but I do. Perhaps its wise to show them the statistics of how many people die from alcohol consumption and lung cancer.

Playing Ocarina of Time again and the sidequests are infuriating. It's becoming one of my least favorite games in the series.

I've never heard of soccer moms being religious nuts. New one for me. Suburban, WASP-y moms active in their local PTA, yes. Then again, I grew up in a not particularly religious area, so maybe soccer moms are Bible thumpers elsewhere.

Around here, we have churches on every other street, and lots of local celebrities are very religious. For a long while I actually expected to deal with the whole, "christian comes to your door to discuss Christ" thing. The remainder are the SJW group discussed earlier killing the fun of the people on neither end of the spectrum.

Joined a Teamspeak with my friend. After a few minutes his guild mate got frustrated and left. I commented to him that I have never seen that particular one in a good mood. Que "no, it's not you, they're just in a mood right now". Turns out the two were chatting in game, and I was later informed that it was my fault they left. Apparently I'm intimidating.
Now, I've been told by people that I radiate an intimidating aura in person (which makes no sense to me, but I've just learned to accept that it's a thing), but in TEAMSPEAK? I didn't even say anything to them! Imagine people getting annoyed at you, and you didn't even SAY ANYTHING! Man, now I'm the one in a mood...

I had that happen back during my MMO days quite a bit. I'd sit in calls silently, and they'd end up dying when I eventually said something. Apparently I "scared" them with my sudden presence. :/

But I can relate.....people claim I have a resting "b*tch face* and tend to give off an intimidating presence as well. On the other hand, I look like an angel so it can get confusing. I think they're just using you as an excuse tbh...probably had other problems and were too childish to do anything. I've been told that I can be very scary when angry....which led some people avoiding me before. Anyways, you said nothing, although your actions may have spoken louder than any words can you've said. That being said I have the impression that you absolutely did nothing to them.....hence how childish they are. Best wishes though..you don't need childish people like that in your life anyways.... Ouch man. I had that happen back during my MMO days quite a bit. I'd sit in calls silently, and they'd end up dying when I eventually said something. Apparently I "scared" them with my sudden presence. :/ Looks like we can all relate!! Although I can relate both online and offline.

Apparently I "scared" them with my sudden presence. :/ Looks like we can all relate!! Although I can relate both online and offline. That a crappy situation. Of course they might be paranoid about your thoughts/whatever, but there's no way their drama is your fault. I've had to solve some guild drama when I was playing MMOs myself and it's usually pretty childish stuff. Something about not getting attention or feeling left out (which is understandable I guess) or feeling like they are discriminated by some unique characteristics no-one even knew about. Of course I can't speak for others, I'll very quickly just cut my ties with anything that feels just pointless and harmful. For some people it's not that simple. I actually have no idea how people perceive me or if I have any aura to begin with. I know people rarely hear me raising my voice so when I accidentally do, even my closest friends get scared. I know some people have "wrong" image of me so they sometimes treat me in a weird way. I don't usually use smileys or anything in written language so it's easy to misinterpret my messages as a bit aggressive. So whenever you see something even slightly aggressive from me it's probably just my bitter sarcasm or friendly nagging. Nothing personal.
