Are you a perfectionist, or okay with a B or C? Do you do your work in a timely manner?
I have zero qualms admitting I am an absolutely shameless grade whοre. I must get at least an A-, although I'm admittedly not very satisfied by A-s. B+s are flat-out failing. I set really high standards for myself because I know I can do it; if I do get below an A-, it's because I was lazy and slacked on work. I would accept a B+ if I'd really worked hard and it was the absolute best I could get, but that hasn't happened to me in college yet. (It happened in my horrible pre-calculus class in high school... I'll humbly take my B-, thank you. Worst class I've ever taken ;_;). I like to think my hyper-perfectionism is my way of making up for my terrible academic performance for junior high and most of high school. I got my school's equivalent of Fs all year in tenth grade :X
That being said, I am the queen of procrastinating. I always wait until the last minute to do everything. Always. Luckily, when I'm pressed for time, I enter a super-productive lockdown mode and get everything done anyway.

I'm a perfectionist as well, though that can turn around sometimes during burn-out.
I'm a moderate procrastinator. Somethings I leave off for a while, however there are the things I get done right away. In the end I wouldn't say I procrastinate too much with school work.
So why do we procrastinate? Why do you procrastinate?

Beats me. I procrastinate on everything. Turning in forms, making appointments, doing laundry, making phone calls, writing e-mails, taking out the trash, whatever responsibility it is, I procrastinate. I'll get it done if I have a deadline, but... I can't set goals for myself because I simply won't accomplish them. I only get things done if I'm being held accountable, in which case I'll always get it done (and well) before the deadline.
I never have a good reason for it, either. It's not that any of those activities are painful to do (okay, making phone calls kind of is). I just put them off.

What I find most strange, for myself even, is that I will procrastinate on something that I, normally, would enjoy doing. Lack of discipline? Possibly.
On a good day, I'll set deadlines for myself. In other cases, I'll just let the deadline creep up on my back.

Yeah, I procrastinate on things I enjoy doing, too. That, to me, is the most annoying part of my procrastinating tendencies.

It's A or nothing for me. If I put my best behind my schoolwork, I WILL get that A. I always have to pressure myself not to go under A. I don't even think it's a grade thing as it is an ego thing, since I'm no longer pressured by anyone else but myself (even my parents wouldn't mind if I don't get As). I don't know if I can maintain that kind of thinking all the time, but it's certainly better than how I used to be back in high school, when I used to be lazy and satisfied with just getting Bs. Even the people with the highest grades in the whole school come to me so that I can help them with their homework, and I just took the whole thing for granted, cutting classes and going to malls rather than do my own homework. Then again, if I did extremely well back in high school, I probably would have become a programmer or system analyst today rather than an art student But yeah I still procrastinate on some of my schoolwork, as everyone else. So long as I get a day or two each month to sit down and just do all my homework, essays and thesis in one go, I'm good throughout the semester.

I'm alright with B or C. However if I want to get the job I want...I'm going to need A's and ace all of my exams and tests.
I am a huge procrastinator. Heck, I'm doing it right now by being on here but I'll finish my IPT (Information Process & Technology) assignment by tonight...I hope.

As long as I'm in C+ and higher, I'm good to go. But I do prefer B and As, I'm usually an A-B Student.
