I've played Grandia Extreme and Grandia 2 as well, but so far the only one I enjoy is Grandia 3...

I've actually only played Grandia 1 (or was it 2?). I can't remember much, but it was the one with Justin and Feena. I really loved the game! Too bad I had to return the copy to my friend...

^The original Grandia was the one with Justin and Feena. Charming game! The battle system was fun, but leveling up the spells took too long. The story was okay, but I just wasn't motivated to finish the game.
Grandia II was my favorite of the bunch; I just love the plot, the battle system, and the dialog. This one had my favorite mana egg system and my favorite characters of the series.
Grandia III was my least favorite of the bunch. Pretty graphics and refined battle system, but...

As for the first one, I LOVED it ;D

I have played all 3 (though I haven't finished 3) and I own the first 2. I must say that the first two are tied for my favorite, but for different reasons. The first one was hilarious. <3 The main reason for my love, though, was the growth seen in Justin; he became a man in the game, something that rarely happens the way it should. The second one had my love because of the main character and his sarcasm. Everyone loves a good laugh at someone else's expense.

I only played Grandia 2 It was my first RPG .... .... and for some reason my first RPG had Kratos sheena and Presea's voice actors in it o___=;..... I remember hearing Ryudo shout a certain attack just after I had played Tales of Symphonia and I thought "What's Kratos doing in this game! " I really like recognizing voice actors. Anyway, I've only played Grandia 1 and 2 since those are the only ones that were available in Europe. I liked both of them very much. ^_^ Although I like the first one a bit more because I played it when I was still little.

I've only played Grandia 3. It was pretty meh. Miranda was badass tho.
I hear the first two are much better.

I've played the first and the third...haven't been able to find the second.
I enjoyed them both. (But I still haven't finished the third...)
I'm thinking of doing another play-through of the first sometime.

Grandia is a quite decent JRPG series Id say, it seems that the old Lunar development team was engaged in the development of this series. This did cause the demise of Lunar Franchise, but the new-born Grandia franchise turned out to be quite successful too.

Played Grandia Xtreme as well as 3. I find them both a mixed bag really. Xtreme had a seriously interesting battle system and some of the catchiest music I've heard in a game, but the storyline wasn't that interesting and the voice acting wasn't great. But 3 had pretty good voice acting, a slightly more interesting story (so cheesy..), a tuned up battle system as well as graphics, and kept the sick music, but overall left a lot to be desired. *A lot*.
I haven't played any others though, heard 1(or 2?) was really good.

I'm playing Grandia 1 on my PSP this time, its really good so far. I heard that Boss battles become super easy at the end of the game though, but it seems to depend a lot on how you train your characters.
