Grr, I hate starting new threads, but how do the Nebilim weapons work? I know you get them, hand them over to Abyssion and then beat Abyssion up, but how do people make them all powerful? I remember reading it somewhere, but I forgot...

For every kill each character has, it ups the power of the Devil's Arm weapon.
Basically, its power lies accordingly to how much kills that character has made. In a normal situation, Lloyd might have the most kills since he's one of the main and popular characters to be used, thus his Devil's Arm will emanate more power than others, take example, Genis or Raine.

After you beat abbysion, if you kill monsters with those weapons, they get stronger. At least that's what I read.

No, the power they gain after you defeat Abyssion is based on the number of kills up until you beat him, including carried-over battle data.
At least, I'm pretty sure :'D.

Do they still gain power if I kill monsters with them after I defeat Abyssion?

Do they still gain power if I kill monsters with them after I defeat Abyssion? I don't think so, but you don't have to make the kills with the weapons themselves to power them up. You can kill stuff with the wooden swords, even!

Best Answer, to elaborate, there is no cap or special starting/ending point, the strength is carried through all your fights/kills, before and after defeating Abyssion.

where to find ALL the devil arms:
1Garrochia Forrest
2Latheon Gorge
3At altimira at night, get a room, say yes to stay overnight, go to the casino and talk to some guy
4 that city of angels place
5 talk to some guy in triet, then walk to the triet ruins and fine a little shining area like for skits, and fight some sand worm
6 go to the temple of earth and go to that one area where the gnome stops you
7 of course colettes at the toize valley mine
8 and raines is the last one you have to get, you talk to koton then do some quests for him
After you get them all, find abyssion at the temple of darkness

Nice try, but the question was for someone who already had them. None of us asked for something as basic as that.

I can prove that the kill counter thing works after abyssion.
I built a machine (in real life) that fit over the controller and would play the game. It repeatedly walked the overworld character back and forth in front of Iselia and would fight the monsters there. When I started, I equipped the party with the devils arms. For Lloyd, they hit around 1000 damage. I left it for a few days and came back, Lloyd was hitting around 8000. I'll explain why I made a machine like that in the first place if someone asks. . .

LOL, well I for one am pretty curious. I don't know exactly what this machine is like, but I thought you were joking. ^__^ Why did you build a machine like that in the first place? :3

To grind for grade. . .I managed to get ALL of the grade shop bonuses in one go. I built the machine because I don't have that much time to spend playing. . . Trust me , I would if I could
I took a Lego Mindstorms unit and programmed it to move the analog stick back and forth while periodically pressing the A button. That was enough to go through battle after battle consistently. Of course, the characters were set to auto. I would put up pictures, yet I dismantled it to fit a PS2 controller now. . . .
