Took four years of French in High school and currently teaching myself Japanese through some self-help books. Yup, I'm in the same boat as Pana.

I don't really like common languages. I like learning things not so many people know. XD; It's more interesting that way! Try learning Latin. It's a dead language, so, really the only people who would speak it to you would be Ancient Romans. Now THAT's uncommon.

I like languages, so I'm reviving this.
Anyway, since my last post... Still doing Latin. 3rd year now. The term fluency isn't usually applied to dead languages, but I guess that would be the closest thing I am to it now because I can read pretty much anything--Caesar, Cicero, Vergil, Catullus, et cetera.
I picked Spanish up again for a year in high school and dropped it once I graduated. I hated it in high school because the class went too slowly for me. Cover material more than once in a language class, and you've already bored me.
I took up French in its place in college. On my second semester now, and I like it a lot. My accent is something horrible, though.
I did a little of Ancient Greek in my senior year of high school, and I'm on my second semester of it in college. Come May, I should be capable of reading most of Plato, Aristotle and all the other ancient philosophers. But I'm going to drop it to pick up Modern Greek in my sophomore year of college.

I have two years of Spanish. I can usually understand a conversation unless it's with a native speaker that speaks really fast ._.
Pero, los comandos me matan.
y los pronombres irregulares....

^You probably know it subconsciously and dont think about it when speaking it. While my classmates and I were learning the name for every tense (Present, Preterite, Imperfect, etc.) my native-speaking friend just does it because she know to.
Commands like Camines, Duerma, Escuche. switching -ar to -e and whatnot. The problem is that i always forget if it's negative tu or negative usted when you dont switch it...
Irregular pronouns like with gustar. Me gusta being 'it pleases me'. It is the subject and it's pleasing me. sometimes i put them after a verb when it's supposed to be in front of it and vice versa

I posted this? Hmm, I guess I did.
Anyway, on the subject of languages, while I'm not sure that I'm going to take a language in college, I might consider taking Japanese as, aside from being interested in the culture, I hear the instructor for the class is supposed to be very knowledgeable (and from Japan, to boot). But whether I take it or not depends on how it will fit with my degree.

I can speak in two language at first, Taga-log and English. Then when I studied at a Chinese school. I am able to speak 3, then what happened is that, I was so good at speaking in English, my speaking in Taga-log became lame, and when I speak Taga-log, my accent went bad, literally. The part I hate is that now that I am college, I would suspect someone better than me with things, but...a lot are speaking in Taga-log, which is bad for my part, and as a result, I am influenced to speak Taga~ (We just use T for short). Then I made a resolution to influence people around me to speak in English, because we know that English is one of the most spoken language in the world, and yet the people at my college school is still speaking in so damn T! UGH I CAN JUST CHOKE THEIR NECKS AND LET THEM SPEAK IN ENGLISH WITH ME. THE REASON IS THAT, SOMEONE JUST GOT ANGRY AT ME AT FACEBOOK, BECAUSE I ALWAYS SPEAK IN ENGLISH AND NOT T, AND YET THEY CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT I AM SPEAKING. UGH!!! *bangs the door* I could just kill them!!!
