I don't really care one way or the other about Eva, really. She's not interesting. Her monologue at the end is kind of interesting, but it's really fleshing out The Boss and not Eva, so.
What I like about that game is the gameplay, the setting, and its position in the series. I think Big Boss is a much more interesting and compelling character than Solid Snake. The Boss is a good character, and I like the protagonist's character arc in regards to her. I like all of the boss battles in that game. I like how many secret pieces of equipment there are. It's the MGS I feel has the most organic sneaking, because the level design isn't so level-y.
Also Ocelot is a huge goof. He makes me smile. He's not nearly as fun in later (timeline-wise) games when he's Revolver Ocelot or, shudder, Liquid Ocelot.

^I can't argue with you there...you're right with everything
Now that I think about it....other MGS feel a little...typical

Lone Survivor.
It's quite good. Left me with a lot to think about, which is fairly high praise. I also found it fairly relatable on a personal level for various reasons. I think I'll poke through it again soon, because I only got the "normal" ending. Mechanically speaking, it's alright but a little squishy. Sneaking can be a bit of a bust, and it felt I had to pass through areas too many times to rely on the one-use flares rather than killing enemies. Now that I'm more familiar, I'm sure the last bit won't be a problem, though. I suppose it's a matter of confidence.
Sidenote: I too have a sleepy cat that I talk to. Sleepy Cat, you're the best cat.

Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2.
1 was great, but 2... mmm... didn't like it as much.

Fire Emblem Awakening's Lunatic/Classic mode.
Lunatic mode is now my female dog. Instead of getting 100% on Lunatic I decided to speedrun the thing to get Lunatic+. I will get (or at least almost) 100% on my Lunatic+ file. I will also abuse DLC like mad because I want the satisfaction of destroying such a monstrosity.

999.
Pretty good game. It was serious and dark, which I prefer in games (well, really, I prefer it in all media, period), and it did a really nice job of tying up all the loose ends at the end without being too ridiculous about it. Visual novels usually aren't really my thing, but I wouldn't mind giving the sequel a go.
Interestingly, the people I was sure I wouldn't like (Clover and Seven) ended up being my favorite characters. (It worked in reverse, too... thought I'd really like Santa, but I really soured on him as the game went on. He was kind of a jerk.)

One of the best games I've played in a while; it's too bad I hadn't played 999 before it and now some of the plot points are spoiled, oh well. Maybe I'll go buy it and play it anyways.

^ 999 was incredible, played that game constantly till I got the true ending. I actually dislike most dark brooding storylines, but this one was just right (similar to Persona for me). Can't wait to play the sequel on 3DS.
Recently finished the Prince of Persia Trilogy and Dragon Quest V. POP overall was quite fun, though I was hoping for more out of the combat system. DQ V, even though it ended up taking months before I finished it since it got a little stale, was also enjoyable. I almost went straight for DQ VI, but I hear the story is not that great, and I don't wanna trug through essentially the same game a third time but with weaker story and less memorable characters. DQ IX is out of the question too, at least for right now; not in the mood for player-created characters with no personality.

Player-created characters have so much personality, though!

Yeah, I was struggling trying to write exactly what I meant. They really have as much personality as you can give them; what I mean is I want a group of main characters written in a story that grow and develop as you progress through it, story driven characters. Just not in the mood for an emotionless, custom made "party with no dialogue" at the moment. Come to think of it, it's part of the reason I dropped FF3, I just didn't care what happened after a while. Of course, the difficulty spike near the end had the most to do with it, but I probably would've at least felt compelled to finish it if I cared about the characters.
All that said, the more I talk about DQIX, the more I wouldn't mind starting it now anyway. @@ Though I know if I do, I won't complete it anytime soon.

Just finished Project X Zone. Man, that game was alot longer than I thought it'd be, but I had an absolute blast playing it. I'd do Hard Mode, but I think it's time to put it down and get back to focusing on Pokemon White 2 and Final Fantasy XIII-2.

I recently finished Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3. I somehow managed to keep up with the story even though I have not been able to get my hands on 1. At least it's not as bad as just picking up Peace Walker without any prior knowledge. Was Portable Ops canon and does it bridge the story between Snake Eater and Peace Walker? There seems to be quite a disconnect.
I had a lot of fun with 2, although, the lack of a free camera made it feel rather dated. Gameplay was a little awkward at times and stealthing through on a first run was pretty ridiculous, especially since most of the maps were hubs connected by narrow corridors. SNiper rifles suck, and why does Raiden have to be such a noob? Other than that, it was really cool.
Also, on my Snake Eater playthrough I somehow managed to go the entire game without killing anybody. I guess this means I can do any following playthroughs with infinity bullet spam. I missed a lot of the easter eggs, and reading the commentaries afterwards makes me really want to run through again.
