It is the Earth's darkest hour. The nations of the world are lead by corrupt warmongers who wage war against those who yearn for the freedom of space. Those who live in space seek nothing short of the complete extermination of those living on Earth, in a mad cleansing of the human race. Hostile aliens have come from all corners of the cosmos, from winged humans who fight with honor to ever-evolving masses of flesh, yet they, too, seek only the elimination of the human race. From deep within the earth, demons rise up to wreak havoc upon the surface world. A planned colony drop will plunge the Earth into a premature ice age.
But humans are not doomed.
Soldiers of steel who know neither fear nor sorrow stand up against every single threat to man. Though they are few and surrounded, they fight bravely and without falter. These are the stories of the brave men and women who fight with these iron giants for the sake of all mankind. These are the real Robot Wars, and they are Super.
To put it another way, imagine if the Titans, Neo-Zeon, the Crossbone Vanguard, the Jupiter Empire, ZAFT, the Haniwa Golems, the Zonders, the Geisters, the Mycene Empire, the Vega empire, the Festum, the Angels, the people of Baam, the Boazans, the Jovian lizards, the Aerogaters, the Coralians, the Zeravire, the Moonrace, Digald, the Invaders, the Dinosaur Empire, Darius, the Kikaika Empire, OZ, Grados, Orphan, the Zentradi, the BF Group, the Gyandlar, and the Radam were all somehow messing stuff up in the Earth-sphere and generally doing bad things and causing the extinction of humanity as we know it. Now imagine taking a group of all the heroes from the same shows the villains come from and stomping them flat.
Alright, well, that's a bit hard to process. This is what it looks like, if you have a hard time picturing all those heroes and villains (Or if you aren't familiar with them. Either-or).
It's a long-running series of strategy RPGs by Banpresto featuring crossovers from tons of giant robot anime from all over. From big names like Gundam, Mazinger, and Getter, to the Eldorans to Tekkaman Blade to Betterman (Which didn't even focus on the mechs!), there's a lot there. In case you skipped it above, Wikipedia has a list of what shows have appeared in the series at some point or other. At my last count, there were 55 games, counting remakes, and there are more now.
You don't really need to know much Japanese to be able to play the games and enjoy everything exploding everywhere forever. Honest.
But enough talk, have at thee!

Of these, only three received official localizations. They are Original Generation, Original Generation 2, and OG Saga: Endless Frontier, with the sequel to that last one having a good chance of making it over. Three games have finished fan translations from Aeon Genesis Translation Projects, with another almost finished from The Romhacking Aerie.
