I'm trying to convert MP3 files into MIDI files so I can put them into vocaloid. I've tried using FL studio to convert it, but I never get any sound. Can you guys either help me with the FL studio problem or find me a good converter? (Mind you, it has to be free.)

I've dabbled in this before, but with little success. A program like that would have to be fairly sophisticated to be able to recognize different instruments and effectively replace them with midis, and ones I've seen on sale are quite expensive and aren't always perfect. Of course, there probably exists a free version or method to this somewhere on the internet, but I haven't found it yet.
A suggestion I have is to find a midi someone else has made or make a midi version yourself, since you have FL.
Of course, I may be totally wrong and there may be a very easy way to do this in FL, and I'm just too stupid to notice I'd like to know. . .

I invoke my right to a double post to attract attention to this thread. I have discovered some useful information for the author of this threadI have found a decent FREE Midi converter, which can be downloaded here www.mymusictools.com/articles/how-do-i-convert-mp3-to-midi.htmYou will also need a mp3 to wav converter, a free one can be found here www.any-audio-converter.com/Conversions to midi come out a bit strange, but it comes with an editor, and with some tinkering, I'm sure you can make it work EDIT:Unfortunately. this thing is only a free trial, and the actual thing is $200. . . Enjoy it for 20 days. . . . . . . .
