That is true....it's not really the same for Tales though, I'm glad. (Well, it has its spin-offs, but not as many....right?)

Tales definitely milks, ahaha... It's not nearly as bad, though. At least Tales does spin-off games that take place in alternate dimensions, which means they can construct new, different stories (whether they're good is another matter, but at least the possibility's there). KH just keeps tacking onto the same story, which limits the creativity and makes the storyline incredibly convoluted.
Well, assuming the games have a storyline, anyway. CoM could have been purged from the games, and nothing of value would have been lost. Hell, CoM was the first KH game I picked up, didn't get far at all, picked up KH1 and KH2, beat those, and then went back to CoM and played further. I didn't miss anything, and at no point in KH2 was I confused about what was going on.

I actually thought KH1 was stupid, because all you do is work your butt off for however many hours it takes, just to get to Kairi, and then the game ends, with your quest not finished. I thought that was seriously stupid. I mean, what kind of bull....
Yeah, and I got mad when they slapped When the World Ends with You into Kingdom Hearts, I got mad. I actually like that game a lot. -------------EDIT------------------ Plus, at least there's new characters in the Tales. I love Radiant Mythologies, even if they bring the old characters. However, Ratatosk was a fail, that's all there is to it. (Maybe if they didn't bring Symphonia, it would've been better.)

I think all of KH's stories are stupid, and I couldn't care less for the characters, save a few from the Organization. Its saving grace is the gameplay.
I thought DotNW was terrible, but it would have probably been slightly less so if they hadn't added in Symphonia's cast. The Symphonia cast wasn't necessary in the plot, and it showed. Painfully so, in fact.
But it wouldn't have saved the game; it died from poor plot writing and shallow, poorly fleshed out characters. It's possible to carry an RPG with just two main characters, but Emil and Marta were so wholly unlikable and two-dimensional that it fell flat. Why should I care about Emil's identity crisis and supposed coming-of-age when I can't stand the guy? I wanted to jerk his undescended testicles down the entire game. I mean, sure, not all characters have to be brave or well-adjusted; it's fine if they're p*ssies. But Emil wasn't a well-written or even a relatable p*ssy; he was just a flat-out whiny loser.
Ah, my dislike of Emil hasn't lessened any, hm. I digress.

Square-Enix of course, I dont think Falcom can do a much better job than Namco considering how they aint enthusiastic at localizing their Legend of Heroes and YS series either. uh, they're pretty damn enthusiastic about it, what are you talking about? Have you even heard Aksys talk about Ys or Heroes? Dudes are all over it and Falcom's behind them 100%. The only way they could be working harder is if the games actually made a decent amount of money, which is not something Legend of Heroes does (Ys is much, much safer, relatively [in addition to having much less text], which is why Akysys has been able to get so many out in such a short period). I actually thought KH1 was stupid, because all you do is work your butt off for however many hours it takes, just to get to Kairi, and then the game ends, with your quest not finished. I thought that was seriously stupid. I mean, what kind of bull.... At no point in any Kingdom Hearts game does anything get resolved.

Marta wasn't very good, yeah. I never felt like she ever developed much beyond the infatuation for Emil, and the constant "oh, Emil~" got really annoying, really fast.
Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard. Ugh.

Her voice didn't bother me MUCH, but the Emil x Marta got me really mad, easily. I could've probably supported it if she wasn't so annoying, plus Emil being such an uke.

I read that as "Emil being such a Luke," which would have been a much better game because Luke was a character whose writing matched his intention and had substantial growth and development over the course of his game.
But you meant something compleeeetely different! Whoops!

I actually think it was tri crescendo that made Eternal Sonata, rather than tri ace. They'd still be choices to pick up the series for me though. Both dang good devs, really fun games from both of them. Another pick would be monolith. Xenoblade was an epic; music, characters, concepts, setting. . . would be cool to see a tales game with a similar battle system, however action based rather than gauge based At no point in any Kingdom Hearts game does anything get resolved. Kingdom hearts 3, walt disney appears and everything is resolved

It wasn't Sora who annoyed me.
It was GOOFY.
How I despised Goofy.
