en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WannarexiaI don't understand why anyone would want to be anorexic. This makes as much sense to me as someone saying they've always wanted to develop schizophrenia.

ieet.org/index.php/IEET/more/pelletier20121113Sounds like something straight out of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. Something about the article leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. I think medical advancements are amazing, but... it just doesn't feel right to mess with human reproduction like that. It feels too uncomfortably like playing God.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WannarexiaI don't understand why anyone would want to be anorexic. This makes as much sense to me as someone saying they've always wanted to develop schizophrenia. It seems to have become popularized during Karen Carpenter's time, or during the 90s when the "heroin chic" look became popular among models. I know a slim girl in school who's into anorexia, anorexia-related photos and art, and I just hope she doesn't become too into the whole thing and be bony. Speaking of anorexia and the female physique, it's crazy that so many women want to slim down too much. I could understand if it's health reason, but it's sometimes too much. A lot of women look lovely having a bit of substance, curvaceousness, and softness to them. It's bad to let one's self go and not care about their body, but it seems equally as bad to be too conscious of it, work out too much that they become bony, or for men, work out so much that they dry and dehydrate themselves to make their muscle definition stand out more - all these will have long-term consequences. ...huh, I think I made a rant like that before. Anyway, muscles are fine, but I'm a fan of functional strength rather than muscles built for the sake of looks, which are usually done primarily via isolation weight training instead of actual strength training. Anyway, what I was reading: 4.nbcla.com/Q9ANlb"LEAF BLOWER BATTLE: Thousands of complaints from residents have prompted Santa Monica city officials to tighten their loosely-enforced ban on leaf blowers. Do you think gardeners should be allowed to use leaf blowers? Why or why not?" Ahhh Santa Monica and their first world problems. As they worry about leaf blowers, I'm worried about getting shot at night if I walk home late I actually don't hate them for it, I just want to reach a point in my life that the only thing that will bother me are leaf blowers being used in my neighborhood's yards

I saw all kinds of traffic signs, first in French, then German and finally in Croatian, but I kept driving because I was distracted. Suddenly I appeared in Zagreb and I realized I wasn't in Belgium anymore." ...how do you not notice signs in Croatian

news.yahoo.com/human-robot-relations-why-worry-161356408.htmlAlright, I'm calling BS on this one. I don't know about any of you guys, but while I was a little sad when my Tamagotchi decided to return to outer space after being neglected under the couch cushions for three months, the sadness only lasted for maybe about two minutes before I went on with my life and never thought about my electronic pet again. My cats have always been infinitely more interesting than a couple of little pixels.
