This is the thread where we all share questions, experiences, details and anything else pertaining to this fabulous game. Does anyone else own the new Animal Crossing? I know the release date for Europe and Australia is a little delayed compared to North America's.. I hope we can all visit each other's towns sometime! Apparently we can have one host and three visitors at a time. I'm interested to know what kind of minigames there are for multiplayer, but that doesn't open up until later on. This is my current setup. I'm still waiting on Tom Nook to upgrade my tent into a real house in the morning

In case you guys didn't know yet, you can buy fortune cookies at the store for 2 Play Coin thingies each to get the Nintendo items.

I'd love to join!
...
Once I actually get it.
Anyways, how is New Leaf? The latest one I played was the DS version and my town was full of nothing but weeds. I wouldn't mind getting back into AC considering it's been years since I last played the DS version and I heard New Leaf is pretty damn good. Oh yeah, does anyone know if someone with the JP version can connect to another with a US or PAL version? Online was added to the US and PAL versions of the game from what I heard. If that's true then I hope there's an update for the JP version...

Anyways, how is New Leaf? I really, really like it. I wasn't expecting to because I hadn't liked the GC version, but I'm gonna admit, I'm addicted. There's a lot more to do and it takes time to unlock all of the game's features, so you don't get bored too quickly. The social element really helps the game out a lot... a lot more interesting and fun to decorate your house when other people can see it, pop in on friends' towns and buy stuff from them you don't have in your town, design clothes for friends, etc, etc. (I'm not sure how much of that Wild World had, but whatever.) Sam, have you Streetpassed anyone yet? I'm kind of surprised. I've gotten maybe eight or nine people so far, and no one really seems to bother actually decorating to a theme. They just plop stuff randomly everywhere. Mario hats, classical pianos, Roman columns, toy trainsets and popcorn machines are all displayed in the same room together. Curious. My house so far. Some friends and I got together for some local play and went to the island. The minigames on the island are fantastic. (It also elicited Mario Party levels of shouting during a couple of competitive co-op minigames...)

I don't mind people visiting, either. I tend to play in the evenings because of work, but weekends are pretty fair game. (If I continue playing at this rate, someone is bound to catch me online sooner or later... 45 hours clocked in seven days :()

I've been making some picture patterns of various characters (Pia from RF3, Cinnamon from RFF and Bellsprout). If anyone wants me to make one of some character for them I will.
