I have the Gamecube and PS2 versions and I'm wondering if Chronicles is worth it. I don't care about the aesthetic changes so much as I do about having the PS2 extras with the (in my opinion) superior English voice cast. I know they didn't exactly go all out with the remaster, but are there any glaring issues I should be aware of?

Since you own both the GC and PS2 version, I wouldn't really recommend it. Outside of the cameo costumes, they haven't added much since the PS2 version. If you only care for Symphonia, you should get it from the PS Store. It's sold on it's own there and you'll save a few dollars.

I guess it revolves entirely on how much you want to have ToS2 on the same disk. I'm pretty sure both games have both voice casts available for you to switch between as well, so that's a nice plus. Other than that I don't think there is much beyond what you already own here.

Depends. If you already have both games, I'd advise against it. Chronicles runs at half the framerate of ToS.

Isn't the PS2 version already half the framerate of the GC version, making Chronicles the same as PS2? Also I've heard about input delay issues on pretty much all the PS3 Tales games. I myself have experienced this on Vesperia PS3, but can anyone else confirm this for Chronicles?

PS2 version ran at 60 FPS, too.

PS2 version ran at 60 FPS, too. Everything I'm reading says PS2 is 30 FPS. I think this was their solution to slowdown when multiple spells are being cast, since that seems to not be as much of an issue on PS2 compared to GC.

Oh, right. I keep forgetting about that. Thanks for the refresher.

The PS2 had a worse graphical engine than the GC. There were also plenty of spells in the game such as Cyclone and Prism Stars which slowed down the game tremendously. This was why they had to drop Symphonia to 30fps. However, they neglected to bring the PS3 version back up to 60fps.

It's like 15 bucks. At this point, it's just a "might as well" situation.

I'd say yes. It has a bit more content than the original version, and it even has a Japanese voice option, if you're into that thing. I kind of grew into Tales of games with the original Japanese battle voices so I prefer those in general, but that's a personal preference and probably only a game changer for a few gamers.
It's also easier to play since you don't have to hook up a new system and it just looks a bit better in general, although it seems just like an upscaled version of the PS2 game.
Actually, when watching Clip's videos newer videos, it actually shows how well it holds up till today and how fun it is. I think Lloyd is an excellent character to play with.

From what I've seen, there isn't any new content unless you count the cameo costumes. As I said before, I already have the PS2 version (played it through twice, GC version several more times) and I don't care for the Japanese cast (mainly the two Chosen being annoying as f**k), so the main appeal for me is having all the extras from the PS2 version with the English cast. As Clip said, it's only $15 so I think I'm gonna go for it.
