-Brawl. . .I liked actually that a lot. I wasn't ever that serious with it, it was fun to play with 3 other friends. AND I abused the ability to make custom stages. I made about 350. . . Brawl's not a bad game. Far from it. It's just a terrible competitive fighting game.

Because people need to find ways to feel good about themselves beyond just existence. Beating other people is one of these ways.

The same reason people play poker competitively, sports competitively, etc. Those were all originally made to have fun...or gamble or whatever. Besides, tournaments are fun. The trash talk is fun, you get to meet people, you get to play many more people in other games than you normally would. I guess some people are like how Sirth mentioned, but not that many that I've met. Anyway, I had fun when I went to Smash and other fighting game tournaments. Fun is very subjective and it's up to the individual to determine how they have the most fun with a game themselves.

One that I didn't think lived up to the hype was Fire Emblem 6. Everyone I know it hyped up as the best in the GBA series, but I actually preferred 7 and 8. It wasn't bad, but I just felt the others were better.

They offer it for free on the internet to put on your Wii and they sometime have tournaments. I more or less feel the same about Twilight Princess and that I think Ocarina of Time is better. Also I think my little brother had this problem with the whole Halo 3 hype.

I have Brawl+.
The only thing I liked more in OOT were the items and maybe the dungeons.

Really, How is it? I was thinking about getting Brawl+ but I know very very little about hardware and I'm scared something might go horribly wrong. How hard is it to install onto the Wii? Also do you still get to keep the original version? or does it get over written?

Well, it's better than Brawl.
You need to install the Homebrew Channel through one of the various hacks or a mod chip. The hacks aren't hard, but depending upon what firmware you have on your Wii, you need to use a different hack. The most famous one is probably the Twilight Hack. After that, you need to put Gecko OS onto it and get the right code set. Brawl + is basically a bunch of gameshark/action replay codes that change the physics of the game. It functions the same way those would.
It's all really not that difficult. Any further discussion should probably be taken to pm's.

I more or less feel the same about Twilight Princess and that I think Ocarina of Time is better. Also I think my little brother had this problem with the whole Halo 3 hype. I am of the opposite opinion. I found Ocarina to be a relatively bland game and the only remarkable thing about it was that it was the first of its kind. It always struck me that most (Most. Not all) of the people who complain about Twilight Princess not being as good are just people who have a lot of nostalgia about Ocarina. Incidentally, Wind Waker was also highly underrated. Most people were put off by the sailing, but it was a solid game. Both it and TP suffer a little from Action Button syndrome, but it's a very widespread affliction. That said, as far as this topic goes... Link to the Past is overrated. It's a pretty fun game, yeah, but a lot of it feels padded, especially once you get to the dark world. It's a great game, but nowhere near the pinnacle of Zelda. I thought Link's Awakening was the best Zelda game, but that's, like, just my opinion, man.

You sure do love dropping your references, don't you?
Umm, I can't think of any games that I didn't like right now. I'll edit one in later and throw off everyone who posts after me.

I really like that game but, my one friend who has only played Ocarina and Twilight Princess often calls WW childish, boring and thinks it's non-canon.

Ooh! I loved Wind Waker. It was the first console game I ever beat. I always meant to do a second playthrough, but never did. The sailing did get a little annoying, but to be fair I have a terrible sense of direction even with a map and consequently probably spent a lot more time out at sea than I needed to. The art style, which I know pissed a lot of people off, fit the game well imo. I've heard people rave about LttP, too, and I also feel like it's overrated. To be truthful, I never liked Link to the Past--it was bland. I really didn't like the Dark World theme much at all, and the entire game seemed to lack the lighter side that other Zelda games have. Link's Awakening is decent, but I think my opinion of it got shafted a little by the fact that I played the Oracle games years before LA. Compared to the Oracle games, LA seemed a little empty and not as filled out. But then again, the Oracle games are my favorite Zelda games overall. I feel like those guys get the real shaft of the Zelda series. I've met very few people who actually like them
