Thoughts on it?
I enjoyed 1 and 2 a fair amount, and I liked what I played of BBoS (I need to finish that...). CoM not so much because it probably set me up for early-onset carpal tunnel.
Feelings on the game are mixed. I don't play FF, so I don't really care about the FF characters, and Disney characters are whatever. The actual story is sort of dry and boring in a non-offensive way. They have so many sequels and prequels now that the plot has become kind of convoluted... not really sure what's going on plot-wise anymore, tbh.
KH's strong point, imo, is the gameplay. I find it pretty fun, if simple... what I play the games for, really. I'm not very good at hand-eye coordination, but I do enjoy RPGs that allow free movement and fighting like KH. Turn-based can get a little dry. (Also, I would be lying if I said I didn't secretly enjoy screaming at Goofy and Donald's dumb AI.)

What's bbos?
They're fun to play. Like the ff characters because they are my childhood. Story's dumb. I liked chain of memories so suck it.

Sorry, meant to type BBS, Birth By Sleep.
Which version of CoM did you play? The remakes were probably better. GBA game hurt my hands.

Huh, my hands never hurt when playing BBS. I'm not sure how literally you mean "kill" in reference to your PSP, but mine literally died while I was playing BBS last year

During the battle with the secret boss "Myterious Figure" the "Square" button is no longer working because of endless dodges...
"X" has to be pressed hardly also because of mashing...
the Analog stick is acting like up-side down......
Myterious Figure is a Bastard....

Need to play at some point.
The whole Disney/SquareEnix presentation has kind of made me not want to try the games, though.

Having only played 1, 2 and CoM on the GBA (And soon KH3D), I'd say 1 is my favorite. You couldn't button mash your way through bosses and proud mode was actually hard. Sure 1 wasn't as flashy as 2 but hey, gameplay was solid.
Now about the story. Since I've skipped BBS, 358/2 days and Re:Coded, I have missed out on so much of the story. I'm amazed at how Nomura turned the simple story of KH1 to something so convoluted and confusing.

Hm, why didn't you like 2 as much? Just curious.
I liked 2 better because the Organization was at least somewhat more interesting than Disney princesses.
Well, not really, now that I think about it. I just liked Axel and Demyx, the former for his voice (Quinton Flynn = <3) and the latter because he was fabulouus. Everyone else in the Organization was entirely forgettable.

2 was just too easy for my tastes. There wasn't any real strategy when fighting normal enemies or bosses aside from a certain few (Dance water dance!). I agree with nearly all of the Organization being forgettable. I also considered getting BBS Final Mix but I chose not to because from what I've seen, you just mash dodge roll for every single attack.

I really happen to only play Birth by Sleep from the series. So I do not have that much to say about it. But my experience in Birth by Sleep was like this in a nut shell. The game play was pretty good, did not care about anything else. I might buy Dream Drop Distance when it is cheap.
