but where does says pal? and why nintendo power would feature such atrosity It's not Nintendo Power, it's from a British Nintendo magazine. I doubt they'd say anything about an NA release in it since it's from the UK. But it pretty much means an NA release. Not that I really care since I ordered the game yesterday. lol but you agreed with me that the only fact that europe gets it and america dont its an atrosity <3 i luv AC anyway its obviously that Bandai assco gives a f*ck bout america srsly whats with their attitude i would like to havee a nice fist to face chat whit them

Why should a company care about localizing games for an area that hardly buys them? We should be thankful they choose to localize any games at all given how they've barely managed to eke any profit out of any games but ToS and ToS2. It's not our right to have these games.

It's not our right to have these games. well if only namco have done some advertising and not just say when the game comes out it would had sold better than it did. whit just one tv advertise is not enough, see how much different is in loljapan Advertising helps, but face it--it's ridiculously expensive and, if the game still sells poorly, it's just further losses to recoup. Most importantly, however, RPGs are a very niche genre. I would say only FF and Pokemon have had real, considerable success in the RPG genre outside of Japan. Catering to a niche market, no matter how good the advertising, is tough and not much money's to be had from it. No, they're not being "arrogant" or "cheap." Careful with their money is a better term to use. They can't just go localizing everything willy-nilly--a couple thousand devoted Tales fans isn't going to recoup the localization costs. They have to analyze the market and see what games would reap in the biggest profits. Sometimes, that means not seeing certain games hit American shores. Better that than Namco running out of money. Milking the franchise is not limited to Namco. Pokemon, Final Fantasy, The Sims, World of Warcraft, etc, etc, etc all do it. Nothing new here. If you can re-release something and scores of people will still buy it, why wouldn't you? Sure, might piss off some consumers (I've come across many people who have sworn off Sims due to its never-ending expansion packs) but it's a generally effective business strategy. Be glad we got the spin-offs rather than nothing at all. Bottom line is, Namco owes NOTHING to us. We're not a profitable market, so Namco has every right to sell their products where it will be profitable. Namco is not in the wrong for doing so; they're exercising basic economic sense that everyone seems to accuse them of lacking.

u pwned me lol
. mmh true,my you're making me realize that namco its not so stupid at all but i will keep my conception of namco being a company without any dignity or respect.
the difference is that those are expansions for the same console thou im not very sure about the sims. and in none of those franchise that you have mentioned the developers had never put a message that implicity say "lol u have a beta pwned" am i wrong? or use some content that is already on the disc.
lol
why do you have to make so much sense <3 PD: i remembered something. is this so called smart company release TotA before FF thinking that it would be a great hit over a well known saga. and the same happened with graces

Personally, over here I'm cheering and at the same time, head-desking.
I'm glad though. I know how badly Rowan wanted this game, XD and I kept hoping that it'd get an EU release even if not an NA one. So! There we go. :3 My hope came true. Congrats EU, I'm happy for you. <3
Now I'll just run off and continue cheering for Rowan and the other EU players, while crying quietly for us NA Tales lovers.
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE. ;~;
But I'll jump on the bandwagon of saying, "at least it's in English".
*Sigh.*

Since I can't seem to post on the home page here was what I was going to put:
I don't know what to say...
Last time I read that magazine, it said that Tatsunoko vs Capcom CGS was coming in Europe last year April but that was obviously false so I have this gut feeling that it is false.
I would love for it to be released in Europe so don't get me wrong there but doesn't it seem a bit odd that there was an Euro release before US? Considering that US mostly speaks 1 language while in Europe, about 7 (though they translate to only 5 languages most of the time).
